The best part of making your own lore is deciding your own powerscaling. Anyone in the pack would wipe the floor with Powrina. She’s the weakest.

The reason I make zero effort to attract weebs to Nostr (and you’re free to see this as an excuse) is that the current landscape is full of content that isn’t even funny. I don’t want to attract a demographic that will likely stick to a single fandom or only engage with the medium by being edgy or horny all the time. In my opinion, Nostr has already become a lot like IRC: it’ll always exist, but it might never really take off. That said, I do believe there’s room for more quality users, even if I don’t necessarily hope to interact with them. If anything, recruiting through fanbases could be the way to go, with the message that Nostr is what you make of it. Unironically, worries about moderation are mostly pointless right now. X and Threads have barely any moderation, while Bluesky is more like Nostr in that regard, they rely primarily on lists, and mods don’t always step in.
I discovered a weird rabbit hole of women who are still fangirling over Prince Harry and the British royal family. I knew and even worked with Brits who respected the royal family culturally in the past, but I’d never seen actual fangirls of them.
