Early Bitcoiners got lucky, but luck isn’t merit. Opportunity isn’t distributed by who ‘deserves’ it—it’s about who’s paying attention when the signal finally breaks through the noise.
Help, I can't remember what was the desktop client I used the most and that was similar to Amethyst.
it's definitely not iris.to, all I can see here is popular stuff I'm not interested about, i want to see the posts of the people I follow only.
The only time I don't get lost when using Nostr for microbloggin is when I use Amethyst, anything else from the browser on the desktop is pretty confusing.
What are your thoughts on decent yet still unaffordable miniPCs that call themselves "datacentres at home"?
And I mean:
* The Nvidia DSX Spark
* All of the derivatives (Thinkpad, MSI, Acer, all have one) that are pretty much the same but cheaper, with Nvidia DG10 inside.
* All the miniPCs with AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 (e.g.: GMKTek Evo X2) with 128GB unified RAM.
I don't mean a comparison between them two. I mean, are they viable for, let's say: plugging Clide or Roo Code (or Zed Editor or whatever coding tool you use) to them and run 70B coding models in llama.cpp decently or would they fall short?
Also, how do you expect the future of home inference to cost? Still ~3000€ or more?
I currently use ThunderCompute, llama.cpp and whatever model gets the job done with an Nvidia H100 and pay per hour, plug it all to Roo Code and together with locally run Qdrant works flawlesly.
(context: I'm in Spain, every machine costs twice here for some very odd reason)

I need to know how to block mostr.pub from Amethyst.
There's no point to be subscribed to accounts that won't ever reply since they are in Mastodon and I already have an account there for that.
#asknostr is there a way to block a whole server from Amethyst ?
Me back in #nostr
Brain talking to brain
> Maikel, do you remember where you host this account
> Is in ...some server. Isn't it ?
> Wait...nope, it's Nostr, your account is just a PGP key tied to some posts in some many servers.
It's hard to remember all the NIPs when you're out for a bit.
Post filtering still not working good enough for my taste, and account discovery is still subpair.
Amethyst is a lot better though but the thing is, I don't find the network as easy to use with anything other than Amethyst from my phone and where I need it most is on my PC.
What's new in this network? I might spend more time here. I'm kind of disappointed in the fediverse. I'm realising that while it "might" look left-leaning platform it is anything but that. It's all window dressing.
Same people who defend working right might offer you a job where you work 2+ years without a contract. Same people who post about hating ICE have no real-life black and minority ethnic friends, in fact Mastodon is incredibly white.
No one seems to see an issue on the power admins have in Mastodon to silence people either.
In a nutshell, Nostr feels RIGHT I just don't understand why Nostr doesn't scale, why crypto is so ridiculously overrepresented if you just want a social network to meet people and see cute cat pics, have fun.

Before the same story about Dr Paris Buttfield-Addison about "20 years of digita life, gone in an instant" one more time.

* Portugal = slower-paced Spain
* Italy = stressed up Spain
* Greece = Spanish but in gibberish, also, people riding around without helmets, and traffic lights being "a recommendation" together with the direction of the lanes of the road.
* France = high-cholesterol neurotic Spain
* UK = Spain but in English. We probably have more in common with them than with any other nation.
* Germany = Spain if you sucked all the life out of it and filled it with efficiency due to an awful weather.
