I went to buy windshield wiper fluid today and had to wait 2 minutes for a lady to come verify my age. I said "I can't believe we have to be ID'd for something like wiper fluid now." Her response, and I shit you not, was - "Well, we have to protect the little children." Idiocracy is here.

We definitely do need to figure out a successor to QR codes. My youngest will never scan one because one time two years ago we scanned one on a disc golf course and it turned out to be the obvious Rick roll. He lost all faith in QR codes that day.
