Why Monero cannnot be money... 1) By definition, money is the most salable good within an economy and only one money exists in an economic community. All other traded goods are barter trades. 2) and currently for the world economy dollars are the closest thing we have to money (more saleable than gold, yes), and each country has their own fiat as money in that community - maintaining one money per economic community. 3) and if bitcoin fails to become money or becomes money and then fails, no digital token can replace bitcoin as world money because nothing else can achieve digital scarcity (including Monero), we'd be back to barter, and then back to fiat of some sort for each county. For the world, we'll probably be back to bartering fiat monies of each countries, and countless competing ßhitcoîns. 4) and in the presence of Bitcoin, which will become world money, Monero needs to compete with and defeat Bitcoin (excluding Bitcoin dying because that cause kills all digital tokens)... Another way of saying this is that Monero needs to actively outshine Bitcoin (and everything else), not hope for Bitcoin to fail. 5) The natural force that propels a token to become money is the accumulation of the token because of the confidence that others want to accumulate it (read that again slowly). This force starts small, and is strongest the more the token is leading in the race amongst all the other tokens/objects. Bitcoin had a massive head start and now nothing comes close, it's too late. Nothing can overtake it. It can only fail. More on point #3 (failure of Bitcoin)... If we fuck it up, say by tinkering with it to try to achieve some lower objective (besides trying to end central banking, the #1 goal), eg falling for the narrative that everyone needs to be their own retail bank, thinking Bitcoin's purpose is to end the very useful function of banking, then Bitcoin theoretically could fail. In that super unlikely scenario, all tokens will compete, and Monero's supposed privacy is not giving it any special advantage, especially given the 15 or so previous hard forks, and the existence of other privacy coins. In conclusion, you could enjoy bartering Monero like a hot potato (MoE) to resist the state, one of many tools, not a silver bullet, but not accumulate it (thinking it's going to become money), because that will lead you straight to poverty like every other shitcoiner is going to experience. You will just use it like any other tool, say VPN (No need to save in VPN subscriptions!). And don't promote it, because that slows bitcoin adoption, and makes you a ßhitcoin scammer.

After years of writing, teaching, coding - I build and ship (worldwide) what I think is the best Bitcoin security setup. And when someone has a technical issue, it's damn handy that it's my own code, so it's way easier to troubleshoot. But should you trust me, or anyone, to build a node for you? Short answer is no, and yes, and well it depends. To get your hands dirty and run a node soon, and experience what it is, yeah, it's a good idea, but one should continue to learn and for a longer term project, replicate the first node (mostly), with DIY on a second node. Are there backdoors? No, but you shouldn't trust me, just assume there are back doors and use the machine accordingly, without putting anything sensitive on it. Your node should not have private keys on it anyway unless you are running a lightning node, then there's no choice. Also, read my code. It's not as hard to follow what's going on, just a sequence of commands that individually work on the command line. You can learn from the code what Parmanode is doing, it's almost a guide in itself.

I give you a new version of the Bitcoin node client: "Bitcoin Deis". If you're unhappy with Bitcoin Core policy changes, you can now run Bitcoin Deis/Knots. Bitcon Deis is not complicated - it's a clone of Bitcoin Core version 28.1 ( a version before significant shenanigannary took place), and I made some changes to the graphics and text. You never actually need to follow the latest versions of Core to stay in consensus. Bitcoin Deis is only available currently with Parmanode. Repo here:

Abolish the state

The media doesn't lie to me because I don't watch it.

A valid Bitcoin transaction is NOT the same thing as a valid use of Bitcoin. People decide what Bitcoin is for, and adopt rules (via code selection) to enforce their wishes (run a node). It's not the other way around. The code does not define what people wish for. It attempts to! This is why, "Oh it's a valid transaction, you should not stop JPEGs on bitcoin, you're a cEnsoRInG hypocrite!" No, dickhead, all validation rules are cEnsoRInG rules. Run Parmanode-Knots. It helps you filter and slow propagation of nonsense. Parmanode also helps you learn stuff so eventually you can build your own node without assistance.

Parmanode & ParmaDrive do not support Bitcoin Core version 29.0. Knots is its default, lower versions of Core will always be available. Remember it ot doesn't matter which Bitcoin flavour you use if all you care about is running real Bitcoin and staying in consensus. Core is not the only dev team, so fuckem ™ - Core is not what Bitcoin is. To use Core version 29.0 with ParmaDrive/Parmanode you need to be "lying and tricking the code, woah woah woah" 🎶

Technical analysis is a highly sophisticated scamming art form, where scammy educational/trading companies lure students/"investors" into studying how price can predict price. By intellectualising the persuit, and layering price with colourful shapes, people are distracted that their tools are all just statistical summaries of PRICE, and ultimately they are predicting FUTURE PRICE based on PAST PRICE, which if you think about it for two seconds, is utterly ridiculous. They are also distracted by this intellectualisation from the fact that they are actually gambling. Price follows the things that cause something to have any value at all, overlaid by noise. The noise cannot be predicted. Price can be charted and observed, but not predicted. Odds can be set, like a bookie sets odds on a horse race, but studying a bookie's odds book is not giving you an edge, you're just becoming a focussed gambler. I admit I was scammed by the allure of finding a hack to markets, but I wasn't scammed into believing it was true per se. I was scammed into believing it might be possible, and wasted years in my younger days proving to myself that every case where it looks like it "works" is a statistical illusion. Ultimately, the best traders win because of experience, "feel", and access to speed and capital, NOT the "advantage" of technical analysis. So here I am trying to save people time. If I actually spent time showing HOW it's an illusion, then I'm getting scammed into wasting even more time (see Brandolini's Law on debunking nonsense and the disproportionate time it takes, compared to creating nonsense). Instead, all I'm giving on this topic is the occasional Tweet as a WARNING. Do with it what you want.
