I'm announcing BitVotr, a new voting protocol to fight election fraud, releasing today to the public domain.
The whitepaper of the protocol is available on GitHub and has a website, BitVotr.com.
Pull requests welcome. Questions and comments welcome in GitHub issues section, and will go towards a FAQ document later.
The protocol introduces new concepts and borrows from old...
- Proof of Tax linked to public keys (new).
- Vote merging for anonymity (borrowed from coin mixing).
- Peer to peer network to submit, sign, and merge votes (every voter is a peer).
- Tamper proofing of count via pgp signatures.
- Peers use RAFT protocol for consensus and data protection (borrowed).
- Byzantine Fault Tolerance thresholds for minimum verification, and defends against network attack.
- Data dissemination of the tally and signatures to Nostr and BitTorrent (no blockchain or token required).
- Vote count by the public (like nodes in Bitcoin verifying blocks).
- Election clock using Bitcoin timechain (without writing to it).
BitVote doesn't force a tyrannical government to be honest and benign, instead, it makes election fraud evident.
Voting doesn't overthrow tyranny, only revolution or total collapse does. Step 1 is to overcome the gaslighting and make fraud undeniable.
Of course dishonest governments will reject this. The system must begin small, prove itself, and be unavoidable to larger and larger democracies.
This is not an endorsement of voting as an ethical way to organise society, but if we are going to vote, it should be verifiable by the people it affects.

The dreaded cowk and panis formation crossing 58k. Hold on.

What happened to that gap at 3K that had to fill, I thought technical analysis worked?
I've been working on a decentralized electronic voting protocol that's fully peer to peer, eliminates the possibility of electoral fraud or double voting, keeps votes private, and is verifiable by anyone.
It benefits from Nostr relays, and Bitcoin’s clock, and DOES NOT require a blockchain or token.
I would greatly appreciate cypherpunk eyes looking over it before releasing.
The debate being rigged, or who "won" is not actually relevant. What is relevant...
1) Did anyone change their mind about who they will vote for (don't think so to any significant extent)
2) Did media bias get exposed (a little)
3) Did Kamala's bitch face make her more or less likable as the next ruler?
Dont forget the most important purpose of #Bitcoin ...
Bitcoin ends the ability of anyone (central banks) from creating money for free (fiat), who then use it to plunder the planet's assets (which worsens the wealth gap), and they control peoples' minds (via media, education, scientific publishing, advisory bodies, politicians) to help them maintain control and the belief that their control of money is necessary, reasonable, and good for them. Thinking otherwise becomes "extremism".
If you place "fuck the banks" higher in priority to "fuck the CENTRAL banks" (very different), then you become susceptible to shitcoiner narratives, and dangerous Bitcoin-upgrade narratives that risk priority 1 in favour of improving priority 2.
I like cats now
What has been said on social media that has wanted you to eliminate free speech all together?
Please share your hurt here, dickhead...
Thank you for being a Bitcoiner 🧡
OK, coffee ready, what else can I do to chip away at the system today? Bit by bit.
I am destroginy!!
It doesn't matter what Trump wants. Bitcoin doesn't need politicians but it's preferable that they don't attack it, but even then it's fine if they did.
This election is not really about Bitcoin, it's about the destruction of the United States and turning into an outright Marxist state (USSA), and potentially the beginning of World war III.
If you ever feel small and insignificant, remember this...
You are one of the universe's minds.
You literally ARE the universe 🧡
The reason why most people support Trump over Harris, but polls show it's close is because the polls are fake (like the manufactured media hype) is so that when they rig the election, they'll be able to successfully convince enough people that the result was true.
We need independent polls and for results to be widely publicised, to counter the propaganda.
We need Nostr polls.
To understand what a Bitcoin node does, it's important to understand that the essence of a node is the PERSON running their chosen code/rules, not just the software/hardware.
Run a node so that...
1. You can maximise privacy. Your wallet needs to connect to a node. If it doesn't need to rely on someone else's copy of the timechain data, you won't divulge your IP (your location!) nor you addresses (and their balances). It's potentially dangerous from attackers, but particular surveillance who WILL co-operate with your local ruler when it's confiscation time during the inevitable collapse of fiat.
2. You can verify if you have been paid - like checking a gold payment is real by melting it down. A bitcoin payment must register on your copy of the timechain.
3. Defend the rules of your money if there is a contentious fork - no one can force you to run Bitcoin Larry Fink's Vision, for example.
4. Be one of many cockroaches that need to be destroyed to wipe out the UTXO set (who owns what). Note even that doesn't kill Bitcoin, Bitcoin is an idea. They'd have to kill all the Bitcoiners.
5. Help someone else run a node, or provide the infrastructure so someone else can trust you and connect to your node. Remember, being a human node is not the power to run the software but the power to choose the right software to connect to - you can be that option for people, especially those you orange pill, instead of letting them connect to a random node.
6. Be super cool, and it gives you a great appreciation of the power of Bitcoin. You’ll probably end up buying more, and accumulating more girlfriends.

Running a node is a essential skill to learn, and every one of my students is running one.

I just had a fight with ChatGPT, defending Pluto's right to be considered a planet.
We are not same. Wait.
Fuck France, but the food is good.
It's almost impossible to buy Canelés de Bordeaux, so I make my own. Even if you were to find them, they wouldn't be eaten at the optimal time after coming out of the oven. These have a crunch from the caramelised surface (like a fresh baguette), and a moist bouncy inside (like a scrambled egg consistency). Flavoured with rum and vanilla.

Arguing that "velocity of money" causes inflation (or has anything to do with it) is EXACTLY the same as a technical analyst trader thinking volume causes the price of a stock to go up.
This is obviously nonsense once you understand the analogy.
You know like when, cos I was the only guy in the room, when you buy Bitcoin at dumps immediately after?
Can we do something about the colour of the candles?

Parman's TLTs (Tyrant Language Tips)...
"Let me be clear" - is supposed to say, "I'm not lying", but it actually means, "I am lying".
and -
"We take this very seriously", actually means "we want you to think we care, but we don't."
Another -
"We've employed a whole range of things", means to say a lot of different things were done too numerous to list, but in fact means nothing was done and nothing can be listed.
another -
"As we've always said", means we've been repeating this line (which is often a lie), and it's going to be used again in this word salad to distract you from what you were asking, making you feel your question was answered and making it difficult to follow up with another.
