In 2022 I exited 2x London real estate investments I’d bought, leveraged, renovated, tenanted, lived in, and repaired over the lifetime of the proprieties Duration 2014 > 2022 = 8 years When I went to sell them, the market went against me, I couldn’t find liquidity It took a year of trying to sell for a price I was happy with Ultimately I took a 50% equity haircut to get out Tbh it was probably more like 60% all costs totalled My biggest loss as an investor Horrible I would beat myself up for days over the situation Anyways, on the flip side, I knew that everything you own is an opportunity cost to Bitcoin So I decided to take the loss And bought Bitcoin at circa £18,000 gbp in 2022 It’s now 4x £72,000 gbp spot today What a turn around Biggest loss, to great gain The best bit: I can continue to HODL There’s no place quite like being long Bitcoin To the hardest moments.
