I just imagined the idea of a #nostr client that could be distributed between users by NFC touch transfer.

I don't want to brag but I've been on nostr since Christmas of 2022. There where no handy well crafted clients back then. Mostly spammy global chat roms of people saying, "Does this work" xD

Just for fun. Do any of us #nostr people have any contacts on RockStar games? Maybe we could sell the rouge idea to someone there to do one of their GT6 PR releases exclusive to nostr. It would be hillarious.

Welcome to all nostr is amazing, I really enjoy the idea of us breaking free from the mainstream platforms. And growing our crowd under the radar. The pirate ship of the internet.

Any group that exercises mob like exclusion against disagreement rather than "agree to disagree", will at some point push you out alone in the cold. Be wary of partaking in such behavior, that will be your own doom down the line.

Currently most #nostr clients use multiple relays for redundancy purposes. It is however the case that relays decide what kinds of content they wamt to store. So in a future we might need to adapt clients in some way so that the author may easier pick what notes ought to be pushed to what relays. Maybe by having different feeds they post to that habe different relay sets attached to them. For example, say that a university starts to run a relay for their academics. Then maybe they have some code of conduct for that relay that they'll only store academically related content. A connected person might then want to be able to cross post all their academics there but their Tropic Thunder memes exclusively on other relays. I don't know how to do this yet, but it's food for further thought among #nostrdevs

Life is wonderful for those who live enough in the now to notice it.

Just as lightning is a second layer to the blockchain, I could see a way that a new account type emerge that hovers over multiple #nostr npubs.

Better tools for organizing events is needed. Facebook events as I remember them is a great tool, but it's excluding people without an FB account so it's really weak when organizing public events or events with people who don't have Mark Zuckerberg in their pockets. I think an event specific #nostr client could be a game changer for communities and such to organize things :)

Let's measure in #gold! First up [1] we can see that #bitcoin had a real increase in value compared to gold and still does. Second up [2] quite surprisingly the US dollar kept pretty stable in gold terms 2011-2020, but the long term is halving in value each 5 year that passes by. Personally I kind of like the idea of messuring bitcoins in grams of gold, and will look up this more often as it updates. For reference see link in the pictures. 1: 2:

I would like to add to the discussion of note delete requests & relays. We have a request-delete-event kind in nostr already. Why not also have the ability to create time limited notes? Say, the ability to post a note with a "request deletion" timer set to 3 weeks or whatever. So that the relay knows that at this point in time the user is ok with the deletion of said note. This might also help with the forever storage problem. Plus letting people post things they intend to only be relevant within a certain space of time. Like weater reports, time specific news, etc.
