How it feels turning down my employer’s 401k match for self-sovereign Bitcoin. I will not accept fiat’s bribe and perpetuate its evil deeds.

Give me freedom money or give me death. Bitcoin and fiat are incompatible systems. One wins and one dies. There is no middle path. Every action we take strengthens one or the other. Bitcoin-backed loans and lines of credit, leveraged bitcoin penny stocks, and ETFs all strengthen the evil fiat control system. The number of Bitcoiners hyping up these products instead of self-custody, medium of exchange, and privacy tech shows how early we are. Satoshi’s protocol design helps Bitcoin win regardless in the end. But at the social layer, each of us must choose to accelerate or stifle adoption of Bitcoin as freedom money.

Drum up a bunch of fear about A.I. Create a regulatory moat and monopoly with the blessing of the citizens. Create a public-private partnership where the state gets their surveillance and the A.I. firms get their perpetual profits. Print an obscene amount of money to offset the deflationary pressure. Total chaos. Bitcoin Standard.

Bitcoin is like a tuning fork that rings hardcore truth wherever you strike it. An unforgiving mirror for ourselves and society. Thought Tucker Carlson was a smart guy? He shares the dumbest Bitcoin take ever and makes you question everything he’s ever said. Loved one buries their head in the sand anytime you mention Bitcoin? Maybe they’ve never critically thought about anything their entire life. Traded shitcoins and got rekt? You’re arrogant and need to stay humble and stack sats. And on and on. We’ve all experienced it. Bitcoin isn’t just a truth machine for money. It reveals the truth about us.

Being an individual responsibility maximalist is one of the most toxic things you can be today.

The elites wheeled it inside the city walls proclaiming victory. They got drunk on stablecoins, crypto this and blockchain that. It was a party for the ages. The next morning as the dust settled and the hangover intensified, they realized they were gravely mistaken. They had not won. Far from it actually. They had been taken hostage by a crypto-anarchist militia shielded in cryptography and anonymity. They had won a battle but lost the war. The war of all wars. They had not co-opted Bitcoin. Bitcoin had co-opted them. Money was separated from State. Forever. With State power cut off at the knee, government started serving the interests of the people again. It got smaller. More cooperative. Nature healed and the Bitcoiners danced.
