How is a functioning free society that respects the rights of the individual (ie an anarchist one) possible, when next door to it there's a highly organized totalitarian nation with sophisticated technology and weapons? Does the existence of a single nation that is centrally organized and does NOT recognize the NAP prompt a race to the bottom, lesser-of-two-evils situation where EVERYONE has to organize into fascist society in hopes the local tyrant is better than the foreign one?
