In 70ad the Jewish Temple was destroyed. A hard fork occured.
Those who continued in the faith of Abraham followed the Messiah, Jesus. This is the Church, which is made of Jewish-ancestry and Gentile believers in Jesus.
Those who rejected the faith of Abraham, became a heresy of the Mosaic Covenant, breaking its laws, especially those relating to Temple sacrifice and Levitical superiority in matters of the faith. Instead a litany of Babylonian philosophy took over in the Pharisee factions, becoming what would be modern day Judaism. This isnt real judaism, because they reject their own covenant.
The beautiful thing about being a Christian is living in truth.
By God’s revelation, clearly explained in the Bible and not hidden by some elitist mysticism, we know that this world is messed up, and that it is our fault, and we deserve wrath.
We dont believe in the good of man, and we dont trust humans to do the right thing.
However, we believe all men are created in the image of God, thus we have a love for life, even the lives of our enemies.
We are not hopeless doomsowers.
