In five years Saylor and the loudest mouthpieces at Bitcoin Magazine will be leading the charge to increase block size. They’ll say it’s needed to accommodate all the great new things (spam) they’ve put on chain. They’ll reduce the decentralization by making impractical for plebs to run a node. They’ll claim it’s for the better for #bitcoin when what they really care about it ROI.

So Saylor’s plan to fight spam is to spam the nodes. 🙄 The orange check service looks to require a centralized server so inscribing to the chain is gratuitous. This is shitcoins coming to Bitcoin. The comments on X are ridiculous.

Started working this a while ago and just kind of forgot about it. Thought was to be able to estimate additional electricity costs and increased thermal loading on a volume based on #bitcoin miner parameters. I need to dig up my notes on thermal loading calculations… Think I should dust it off and keep going? I think the thermal loading would be pretty unique. Would help with projecting total electricity costs (miner plus cooling load)

I’ve been stacking my sats on @strike so I can manage my UTXOs before getting them into cold storage because they advertise you can withdraw as much of your Bitcoin as you want, when you want. Not really the case though. You have to have Strike Instant or you are limited on your withdrawals (pretty damn severely in my case). Cash app limit is twice as high based on my limit on Strike. How do you become a “most loyal user?” As is, it completely defeats the purpose of using the service.
