At times I struggle to engage in a meaningful way on Nostr. This is primarily driven by just not knowing what to say on different topics, especially #bitcoin. I’ve been going down the 🐇 🕳️ for a few years now, but it’s been a solitary journey for the most part. I have one friend who’s into bitcoin, and we primarily talk about price action. My wife didn’t even know I held any BTC until about a week ago when I realized I needed to tell her how to access it in the event something happens to me. And that’s it. None of my friends are into it and most of them still thinks it’s either a scam or too esoteric to dig into. So in a way, I’ve inadvertently restricted my own language which I believe restricts thought on a topic, in this case being bitcoin. Being here and engaging is lifting those restrictions which is 🤌! 🍻 to all of you on #nostr. I’m happy to be playing a small part in this community. My interpretation - entities like @coinbase won’t allow you to send to an unregistered wallet. This is an attempt to close in transacting in bitcoin within KYC forums. Not good and not a good look EU. Give it a week for US lawmakers to point to this as inspiration.
