Installing EndlessOS for the kids. My youngest already has been enjoying it, especially GCompris, on his laptop (an old HP). Now I'm going to explore it with the oldest on his Minecraft laptop, inside of a VMWare guest. It's got a ton of educative options so I can really recommend it to parents especially of young children. #ITM

Spent some time fixing this keyboard. Itś a Unicomp Model M (yes, an IBM model M clone) but with the Dvorak layout! Bought it in 2015 and at some point it stopped working: on some rows the key presses didn´t register. Requested a repair quote but excluding shipping it was already €150 so I was like nah. Had it stored somewhere since then. Today I wondered if I could fix it myself. Took it apart and it seems like the inside chip needs to be properly pressed down. So I made a wad of a paper cloth, put it on the circuit board, closed it up and voila, it works like a charm again!

My favorite keyboard is a TypeMatrix 2030. Been using it for years. The keyboard is great. I use it with the dvorak layout but it supports US layout too, all in hardware. Absolute gem. Keys are laptop style. No fatigue even after a full day of using it. Comes with rubber sleeves that can be replaced to keep the keyboard clean.

Just got the PostgreSQL NixOS container to work – now running PostgreSQL 15! w00t. Performing spring updates can be so much fun.
