I just finished reading The Bullish Case for Bitcoin. The most notable passage for me had to do with early nation-state adoption likely correlated not to democracy but to dictatorships that can move quickly and aren't incentivized to maintain the status quo of the global order. In the U.S., we merely have oligarchies, so actual domestic adoption may be slower.

I setup my Alby Hub last week. Had all sorts of technical issues in part to my own ineptitude and in part to my underpowered hardware. I called in this week to a community onboarding session, and ended up being the fucking tech support.
