Just spent 10 minutes on the phone with a Google social engineer, recorded the whole thing.
It may be a holiday for us, but attackers love to strike on holidays when our guards are down!

Haters gonna hate.

The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.

If you wish to actively fight against arbitrary data being embedded in the Bitcoin blockchain then you need to impose a regime of arbitrary rules that are reactive to each new use of the protocol that is considered Haram.
I think the conflict can be distilled down to a single trade-off: would you rather have a Bitcoin with arbitrary data or a Bitcoin with arbitrary rules?
That feeling when you return from a long trip to discover the distinct odor of a decomposing corpse in the house and you gear up for a game of "find the smell."

My mastodon server stopped syncing so I went in to do maintainance on it. It was about a year out of date so I started following the instructions to upgrade the release version.
After several hours of navigating dependency hell I hadn't gotten the first version bump working because it also required migrating all my data to a new postgres version and the postgres version migration tool failed due to permission errors...
Suffice to say I'm not bothering to run a mastodon server any more. Running a nostr relay is zero headache while the mastodon server is a bloated app that is not admin friendly at all.
Clarkson's Farm had an episode recently about farm automation and he visited a high tech farm in the Netherlands.
This guy built a bunch of drone hardware and software to do precision pesticide and weed control, but laws in the Netherlands make flying drones, even just a few feet off the ground on your own property, illegal.
What did the farmer do? He filed the paperwork to have his entire farm designated as an airport! 🧠
I keep pressing "1" on these google phishing automated calls to try to signal to the operators that they should have a human call me but still no luck! Come onnnnnnn I wanna scambait so bad...
Pet peeve: when I tell a friend details of my current location / plans via a secure comms channel and then shortly thereafter they send an EMAIL that includes those details. 🤬
It's a great day to be alive.

RIP

I’m thinking of developing a game where you have to go back in time to assassinate Adam & Eve.
It's a first person shooter.
