A recovering fiatautomaton's musings on the exploits of the state, central banking and how Bitcoin is the way out.
Can anyone help explain why I can’t send sats from my coinbase exchange wallet my to wallet of satoshi? #asknostr #plebster
Gm nostriches 🪶 My inaugural long-form post. As I continue learning, I’ll continue to post my reflections (*revelations*) . Feeling inspired hearing @walker and @Vitor Pamplona talk about setting up a relay, I think I’ll try my hand at that, to ensure the sovereignty of my work. I’ll be sure to write about it when I do. Any feedback, positive, negative neutral is welcome See you soon, but for now stay free and be at peace! View quoted note → #plebster #longform #fiat

Dracula and the Federal Reserve Banking System image Listening to a certain conversation take place between Jack Mallers and Rick Ruben, I heard a brilliant insight. Mallers noted, "money is time and energy in extracted form." He continued, "When the government debases its money. They are debasing you. The time and energy that you require to have a life that you deem to be worthwhile, goes up, which is the biggest form of crime and theft you can do to a populace." In his brilliantly phrased illustration, Mallers gets to the heart of the massive extraction campaign that has been taking place by governments working hand-in-glove with central banking cartels. And, in my view, I cannot think of a better fitting archetype than that of the necromancer vampire, Count Dracula. It is purported that Bram Stoker never actually meant for his iconic novel to be fiction, but a warning of a real evil. Perhaps. But whether or not that be the case, it is clear that many parallels exist between the Victorian legend and today's modern banking system. I'm merely looking at parallels, for illustrative purposes only, between what is the modern banking-state, and the legend of a bloodthirsty count from Transylvania, Romania, seeking to infiltrate the British aristocracy and deriving his life forces from ritualistic bloodsucking. If we look at the modern banking state, and the elite political class, one can find any countless number of conspiracies. This is not the point. The fact is that the inflationary policies of the federal reserve banking system, is quite literally, draining you of your time and energy (your life source) and funneling it into the coffers of an aristocratic ruling class. Take it as you will, my macabre analogy. In fact, I write all of this optimistic that in fighting Count Dracula, we have the garlic (Nostr) to repel his charms, and the bowie knife (bitcoin) that will deal his death blow. These are my weapons of choice. Are they yours? Are we well enough equipped to fight the evil that Bram Stoker saw in 1897 intimated in our modern era? Let me know in the comments what you think. Even better, give me a Zap follow me on Nostr to support my work. npub176zu0wg5l8436nu66qaxwfekx0zz58l66s72dhcu0ur0lvd7q5lq9f66qx F.R. #plebster #longform #nip-23 #grownostr #bitcoin
Bitcoin changes everything. It's been said many times over. I wouldn't write with the presumption that I, out of all of the people who have had similar experiences, have experienced it any more or less profoundly. I can say for certain that it has been profound, but to measure my sense of the word against yours would be ludicrous. The statement deserves that amendment, it would seem. Bitcoin changes everything for me. That must be what the laser eyes are all about. Signifying a shrewdness and foresight, the bitcoiner's laser eyes tell the world that they are seeing things rather differently from the no-coiners, the fiatomatons. Maybe. To be honest, I think they look cool and it makes me feel like an insider. St. Paul, in the Acts of the Apostles, sees Christ and goes blind. He went from being persecutor par excellence to devout believer, in the moment when "something like scales fell from his eyes." The analogy made in the Acts can be well understood by people in the bitcoiner community. Just to be sure - I'm not here to proselytize. I'm offering these reflections of mine for a few reasons. 1. Laser-vision isn't enough. If now I can see clearly, I believe it incumbent of me to find my own way to contribute to the space. What is it to see, and not to act? Of course there are many marvels of nature to gape at - and of course, there isn't harm in doing that at times - but there is work to be done. My contribution, at this point, will be to begin sharing my insights on Nostr, curating lists with the hope to add some value to the space. 2. Consciousness is better shared. Here the second point is an attempt at justification for the first. Writing blazes a trail to self-discovery. And others can walk the same trail by reading what's been written before them. Nostr and Bitcoin are powerful on their own, but they are not intuitive. As I learn and discover more about these spaces, I will post about it here. Hopefully this helps to clear the way for others venturing into these spaces. 3. Fiat is vampiric. One's life amounts to their limited energy accounted for in time. Money provides a medium of exchange with which one can receive compensation for their time and energy, allowing them to transmit value into the future. Fiat currency debases our ability to transmit our energy and time into the future. Our time and energy and life are thereby drained from our bodies. Vampires, the directors of this system stealthily sink their teeth into our necks and bleed us pallid. image But not if we are aware. If fiat currency is a vampire, then Bitcoin is your fresh garlic and nostr your wooden stakes. Fiat revelations is the place where I'll sharpen my stakes and grow more garlic. Expect more reflections in the future. Follow and zap me to support my work. F.D.

Freedom of expression is being compromised by illegal authoritarian governments’ holding these CEOs and their assets hostage. Can relay operators be similarly coerced? What are the choke points in the Nostr protocol? Does the BITCOIN IS SPEECH argument help in protecting freedom of expression on Nostr? #asknostr #freedomofexpression #bitcoinisspeech #grownostr
Definitely agree that the educated elite are predominantly socialist-leaning or full blown commie.
“While the extreme and violent aspects of Communism generally were rejected, the more genteel theories of socialism became popular among the educated elite. It was they who would naturally become the leaders in an American socialist system. Someone had to look after the masses and tell them what to do for their own good, and many with college degrees and those with great wealth became enamored by the thought of playing that role. And so, the concept became widely accepted at all levels of American life—the "downtrodden masses" as well as the educated elite—that it was desirable for the government to take care of its citizens and to protect them in their economic affairs.” Excerpt From The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve G Edward Griffin
BITCOIN IS SPEECH I glanced at the NYDIG report, BITCOIN’S PROTECTION UNDER THE FIRST AMENDMENT A few lines that stood out: “Using and mining bitcoin also constitutes protected expressive conduct because those activities are intended and widely understood to be a protest against government control and debasement of fiat currencies…. “Bitcoin constitutes a highly communicative and at times boisterous community dedicated to winning greater freedom from government fiat. It offers the sort of promise and opportunities that have prompted government jealousy from time immemorial. For these very reasons, the First Amendment implications of bitcoin cannot be ignored….
