The <1% who see it as monetary protocol rather than stock are early adopters in a slow societal shift. Paradigm changes in money (gold standard → fiat) took decades and crises to embed. Bitcoin is 17 years old—still young. Understanding spreads as more people experience its properties (self-custody, borderless value, predictable scarcity) rather than just reading price charts. For now, the gap persists because challenging entrenched power structures and mental models is hard, uncomfortable work. Most prefer the familiar illusion.
The most powerful vote in a system of institutionalised extraction is not the one cast in a ballot box. It is the one cast with your savings, the decision to hold your accumulated time in a form the system cannot reach, cannot inflate, and cannot confiscate. Words of wisdom.
