Hydration breaks have nothing to do with hydrating the players. They are just extra advertising opportunities.

Now in NoorNote you can directly see who follows you and who has muted you. On the user's profile and in reply threads. Bc replying to someone who can't see your reply makes no sense.

What today’s voters don’t understand is that the right political wing, which promises the people healing from the left’s degeneration, is actually a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Sure, things like a return to traditional values, preserving your own culture and religion, and free competition in the market sound good at first. But these are election campaign stories aimed at ordinary people. People who are distracted by too much screen time, more and more sexual opportunities, and a job market that keeps demanding more, while giving back less. It's an outside poster designed for people who no longer have the time or energy to think, even though they could, if they wanted to. The irony is that the right wing doesn’t even care about these values at all. Because today the right wing has a different mission: Turning representative democracy into a technocracy, where only big corporations take over the legislature. This trend has been developing in that direction for a while. But the goal is to move it from, at best, questionable lobbying into a more formally legitimate form. Economic liberals have been saying all along that the right wing in their countries are liberal extremists, as in France, Italy, the United States, Argentina, and so on. They promise a clean culture, and then dirty it over and over again by giving corporations the power to ignore laws, the common good, and fairness. Power that lets them enslave the general public however they want. This is a departure from the whole idea of a state, an institution that has existed in one form or another for thousands of years. This process is already well underway. They are not going to build walls or deport immigrants in bulk. Quite the opposite. If it serves their economic interests, they will bring in even more, for example if the local society is producing too few children, meaning too few workers. And then right wing voters will look on with blank faces.

NoorNote 1.2 is out. With 1. an optional per post client tag in the New Note Composer. Go ahead and free yourselves from developer ego stroking top lists and fingerprinting friendly ones. Screw vanity. If you cannot let that go, you are still miles away from true self sovereignty, or from delivering a sovereign Nostr client. View quoted note → 2. anonymous activity notifications in the Community Dhikr addon. You'll be notified now when a new Dhikr session starts, when someone commits their Dhikrs, or when a Dhikr session ends. Of course, only for the users who enabled the addon. No more excuses. 3. the most famous and best Nostr client onboarding wizard now recommends and guides new users through installing and setting up npub1aeh2zw4elewy5682lxc6xnlqzjnxksq303gwu2npfaxd49vmde6qcq4nwx’s Sidecar. Thanks, Alby addon, for your early pioneering work, but your time is probably over. A simpler and complete browser key signer also makes NoorNote’s onboarding easier. View quoted note → 4. and the best, most important, most serious feature to finish: reacting to reactions 🎉 View quoted note → I know, you've all been waiting a long time. You almost wanted to turn away from Nostr because of that missing feature, but it’s here now. Someone reacts to your note or reply? React back. And then react again to the new reaction. Of course it's also visible in the analytics modal window. Welcome to reaction hellthreads. You'll also get notified about it. 😈

Done. The ecosystem is getting better, the tools are improving, and that means NootNote is getting better too. Alby is no longer the official recommendation for the browser key signer of choice, it's now Sidecar. image View quoted note →

Best UX for a browser key signer so far. And the nsec is encrypted using PBKDF2/AES-GCM, then stored in chrome.storage.local, so other potentially malicious addons can't get to it. In my broad testing across multiple browser key signers last year, only Alby did this, though I don't know if others have added it since. Sidecar also has a better UX than Alby. I'm thinking about replacing Alby with Sidecar in NoorNote's onboarding wizard because Sidecar is better for beginners right now. Alby is harder for beginners to understand, and in the past it also had the bad habit of changing the UI more often. I actually don't like that, but I accepted it because of the encryption. Others store the nsec in plain text in the browser. The UI flow of a browser key signer needs to be decided early, and after that it shouldn't change too much. View quoted note →

GLM 5.2 has been very satisfactory so far. I haven’t really done any truly hard tasks with it yet, but the migration has gone smoothly so far. If that stays the case, I’ll be saying “goodbye Claude” in a few weeks insh'Allah. Powerful, cheaper and Chinese. I'd rather be spied on by the Chinese than have Claude randomly suspend accounts for no reason and then threaten users with notifications to local authorities. Besides, everything I develop is open source and it runs on a computer that is only for that purpose.

What a bunch of pussies. As soon as the referee blows the final whistle, a few players start crying. Like, right away. What did you think, Ecuador? That you’d become world champions? Of course you’ll be knocked out eventually. What happened to “being there is what matters”?
