At first I was totally against it too, but now I actually like AI slop. I even celebrate every new piece of AI slop, and you know why? Because it really shows what kind of worthless fiat trash we've been dealing with for decades. Doesn't matter what kind of art, when you see how even this first generation of AI can reproduce it, it pushes today's so-called artists to rethink their stuff and make something better than the crap they're getting paid for. It's about time we cranked up the level of human creativity back to that pre-fiat era, like medieval times, when artworks lasted way beyond the artists' deaths, for centuries. Like, "You slapped a bunch of crap on a canvas and call it art? Here, take this AI crap, it can do the same thing. Why should I pay for yours?"

Dude, every 40 years there’s a tiny bit of mild drama here and they’re already making memes about it. Over on MT you wouldn’t even be able to keep up. View quoted note →

Normie users are really resilient. They even went along with Windows 11 without realizing they’re basically sitting at a dumb terminal connected to a mainframe in Redmond. View quoted note →

Hahaha, idiots. They think they’re super smart and then end up falling flat on their face. What does Islam say? Don’t sell anything you don’t fully own. View quoted note →

Yesterday and today, the fiat reality with all its bureaucracy and obligations really caught up with me. Well, you can’t always live in dreams of freedom and self-sovereignty. All the more reason to finally start turning our visions into reality. And don’t forget to be more generous with your zaps and donations. It’s not for nothing. Everything you put into the cycle will come back eventually.

Exactly. #NoorNote is trying hard to break free from those timeline restrictions. Just wait and see. View quoted note →

He’s totally right. What’s with all this stinginess and speculation? Zap at today’s value. Speculation has so many flaws, that’s why it’s called speculation. First problem: you or the person you’re zapping could die tomorrow. What happens to the concept of hodling then? Who benefits from that? Yeah, exactly, you’re left standing there looking stupid. You’re not really speculating on Bitcoin’s future value. You’re betting that you will even live long enough to see those good days. That’s BS. The only thing certain in life is death, and the uncertain thing is when it’s coming. Unlike some of the greedy ******** around here, at least my record looks good. I’ve zapped more than two and a half times what I’ve received. Not like those who make millions here and give back maybe a thousand. You know who I’m talking about. Still, I should zap even more. How about this: we top up our Lightning wallets with fifty bucks every month and actually spend it? Or throw 5 to 10 % of your monthly stack into the zap wallet. Imagine if everyone did that. Boom, we’d have a real independent, circular value-for-value economy here. It would motivate people to create amazing content, which in turn would pull in outsiders to Nostr like a magnet. That’s how you get the real mass adoption everyone keeps dreaming about. Fifty bucks a month for social media that doesn’t analyze you, track you, spy on you, or manipulate you ... and even helps you grow as a person. That’s basically one Netflix and one sports streaming subscription. Too much? Fine, make it forty or thirty. And you “Zapvertisers” with your tiny single-digit Sat campaigns ... next time I’m muting you. Make your campaigns cost at least $200 to $300 for a hundred to five hundred recipients. Remember the term “banner blindness”? Yeah, it’s turned into “mini-zap ad blindness” here. People don’t even bother reading what’s written in the zap comment anymore. Seriously, we need to rethink our habits. Let’s turn Nostr into a real community project. View article →
