To the mama looking in the mirror and feeling completely invisible, exhausted, and alone: I see you. The sleepless nights are heavy, and the shift in your world is real, but you are doing an incredible job. You are your baby’s entire universe, even on the days you feel like you're disappearing. Hold on. ✨ #FirstTimeMom #PostpartumJourney #MotherhoodUnfiltered #YouAreNotAlone
Dear Mama,
First, take a deep, slow breath. If no one has told you today: You are doing an amazing job, and your feelings are completely valid.
It is incredibly common to feel lonely and unloved during this season, even when you are constantly surrounded by people or holding a baby. The world celebrates the birth of a baby, but they often forget that a mother was born, too. You are navigating an entirely new identity, running on empty, and giving every ounce of your physical and emotional energy to another human being. It is completely natural to feel depleted.
Please remember these truths on the hard days:
Your worth is not measured by your productivity. A messy house, unfinished laundry, or a day spent just surviving does not mean you are failing.
This loneliness is a season, not your forever. Right now, the demands are high and the world feels small. But as your baby grows, the fog will lift, and you will find your footing again.
You are not invisible. To that tiny baby, your voice is safety, your scent is comfort, and your arms are home. You are their entire world.
Asking for a break is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of strength. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and taking care of yourself is taking care of your baby.
You are living through one of the most intense transformations a human can go through. Be remarkably gentle with yourself today. You are loved, you are seen, and you are enough.
One hour, one diaper, one breath at a time. You’ve got this. 🤍
