Aspiring Orthodox, anti vax crunchy mama. 🤍 My husband, the sun, my son, nourishing foods ☀️
❤️ How to find a vaccine friendly doctor ❤️ - Join "crunchy mama/natural groups" online in your local area and ask around. - Go to Dr. Green Mom's website. She provides a list of providers based on your zip code that are respectful of parent's choices (whether that is delaying, making an alternative plan, or foregoing completely). Here is the website: - Ask around at your local chiropractor's office. Someone there will usually know. - Family doctors are *usually* better for this than pediatricians Know that if someone is not the right fit for your family, you do not have to debate with them or let th pressure you. There are other options. #antivax #crunchymama
I would love to see so many of the alternative health sources that post on Instagram or Substack, on Nostr. People like Noelle Kovary, Dr. Erin Leigh Connealy, Kaleigh Erin Mason (nutrition.elements). I think I'll try to recruit. #alternativehealth #crunchymama #peatstr #prometabolic #bioenergetic #antivax
We are working to heal our son’s histamine intolerance, food allergies, and eczema. Although there are probably aspects I’m unaware of, I believe that a lot of these issues find their root in the gut. To do this, we are intuitively following a GAPS-style protocol, along with supportive herbs (like nettle and Quercetin), homeopathy (histaminum), and as a last ditch resort OTC Loratadine if needed (rarely needed). Today we reintroduced a small amount (half an ice cube) of homemade low histamine meat stock. This was made with a local pastured whole chicken, chicken feet, raw ACV, sea salt, and spring water. My husband cooked it all from frozen in the instant pot so that not a lot of histamine would build up. Our son already flared up with a small bit of eczema on his face, but that is okay, he recovers easily these days. A bit of Quercetin and Histaminum does the trick. Little by little we will gradually increase the dose, remembering that slow and steady wins the race. The purpose of the homemade meat stock, is that it will strengthen his gut lining. All of the issues he’s facing, can often be found in a weak gut lining - food particles pass through where they should be contained by the lining, and the immune system attacks. Here’s to healing, God willing. He is already doing much better than he used to, and we’re just on a steady trend up. I am thankful to God, my husband, and all the info that is available out there to dig through. This has all been such a needed support. Any advice or prayers are appreciated. #health #healing #GAPS #nutrition #Peatstr
Today I visited a local spring for the second time, and it still amazes me. I originally found it through FindASpring.org - a really cool site where you can just enter your zip code and see if there are any natural springs near you. Some are safe for drinking, while others are more for swimming or just relaxing nearby. The spring I went to is on a someone’s private property. His wife is a hydrologist and regularly tests the water for safety and purity. They view the spring as a gift meant to be shared, so they graciously open it up to the public. Anyone is welcome to come collect water from their tap for free. They've even set up a little bench by the stream where visitors can sit and enjoy the view, surrounded by a beautiful garden. Wild mint grows along the water’s edge, and there are butterflies, bees, spiders - so much life all around. It is truly living water. Raw, local spring water is the best. All of the minerals and probiotics in tact - and from a beautiful place I can visit to fill up. I feel grateful to the family who blesses people with this gift. If you haven’t checked out any local springs, I definitely recommend taking a look at findaspring.org.
