A daily live show about the monetary transition from fiat to Bitcoin - AI deflation, energy abundance, and the restoration of humanity. Hosted by Ricky Zhang. Live weekdays at 10am PT / 1pm ET. Clips daily.
Fiat must expand forever. Bitcoin can't be inflated or rewritten. Stack endless paper claims on that finite base and the gap widens - until something visibly breaks. There's no steady state where they share the world.
You feel something's off before you can explain it. The feeling has a name: the money is broken. Once you see that, you can't unsee it. And a mind that's crossed that line doesn't cross back.
Saturday I was serving salad at a volunteer barbecue. Between plates I kept refreshing mempool.space. A defining Bitcoin fight was playing out - and no one else in the room knew. That's what early looks like: a hundred people around you, none see it yet.
The fear of the tax man is inherited, not physics. It's people all the way down. Those people are on the same monetary journey you are. Inherited fear can be set down.
If you think AI will grow us out of the debt: GDP is the sum of all transactions. AI makes things cheaper - toward free. Free isn't a transaction. You can't add up what doesn't happen.
A Homo sapiens picked up the rare seashell. A Neanderthal walked past it. Noticing scarcity is what made us human. It's the same instinct MONEY runs on.
Where's your attention going? Toward things that survive AI, or things being commoditized right now. Algorithmic feeds are a black hole: tighter loops, shorter spans, more extreme content. Attention is the survival mechanism.
A hardware wallet is only as strong as the randomness that made its seed. Some shipped with 32 to 72 bits of entropy instead of 256. That's Netflix password levels of GUESSABLE. The math you were trusting was never there.
One company owns 4% of Bitcoin. In fiat that would be systemic risk... But Bitcoin ownership doesn't buy influence over the rules. Every attempt to bend the protocol has failed.
On your deathbed, the moments you'll remember are the human ones: depth, presence, being truly seen. Today you get them in slivers. The rest of your life goes to outrunning inflation. Fix the money and presence stops being rare.
Going back to fiat isn't an option in 2026. Staying in dollars isn't neutral. It funds the road to a digital dollar the government can freeze. Cypherpunks saw this in the 1970s. We're just catching up. There's no bench to sit on.
Three hours of scrolling. Nothing to show for it. People are noticing... Phones are going down. The attention economy is ending. What wins next is presence.
Fiat narrows your life to two choices. Run faster to stay in place. Or sell your soul. Bitcoin is stored energy with no debt to repay. Point it wherever you want.
I catch myself every time I go to hire. The honest truth: no business owner wants to hire another person. We want the output, not the person. AI is what happens when that wish finally has a way out.
Both sides will claim victory no matter what happens. If the miners signal support, one side calls it a mandate. If they don't, the other side calls it capture. People don't rewrite history by mistake. They rewrite it to protect who they think they are.
Get rich, sure. We all want that... But rich in what? Rich in dollars isn't rich in life. Bitcoin makes the second one possible.
The dollar is held together by belief. Belief only holds when people stay confused. That's why the acronyms multiply. That's why the talking heads sound dumber every year. The confusion is the point.
You can't understand a defining moment while you're in it. You only see it years later. Being early in Bitcoin isn't knowing the answer: it's being present for the question. This is the defining story of our times.
People aren't cruel by nature. They're cruel by incentive. Every form of money before Bitcoin rewarded whoever cheated first. Change the money - and care at scale finally becomes possible.
It's easy to call Michael Saylor a sellout. Almost none of us have ever faced fiat incentives in the billions. Honest answer: I don't know what I'd do in that seat either. You can't out-willpower money this broken. You have to change the money.
