Our minds cap out at about 150 people.
That was the whole village, for all of human history.
Everything we call civilization is a workaround for that number.
Money and institutions exist because trust doesn't scale past it.

A daily live show about the monetary transition from fiat to Bitcoin - AI deflation, energy abundance, and the restoration of humanity. Hosted by Ricky Zhang. Live weekdays at 10am PT / 1pm ET. Clips daily.
A king clipped coins.
A fish buyer in Newfoundland tampered with his scales.
A central banker prints money in 2026.
Same trick, 4,000 years running.
If you can win by tilting the scale, someone always will.
The left rages that a trillionaire exists.
Fair.
But nobody asks what he has a trillion of.
It's dollars - and dollars get printed.
The anger is right, the target is wrong.
A 1996 Federal Reserve paper made a strange claim.
Money only exists because we can't remember.
We can't track who gave what. We can't hold a village in our heads.
A perfect shared ledger would make money unnecessary.
Bitcoin is that ledger.
The last person on fiat gets debased the most.
The day they finally switch, they still win.
Bitcoin doesn't punish latecomers.
You were never supposed to convince everyone.
Every dollar starts as a loan.
Interest is baked into every trade.
Whoever gets new money first pays yesterday's prices.
There's a third party in every deal you make.
Your brain caps out at about 150 people.
That's the village size we evolved for.
Every stranger past that is someone your mind can't keep a trust record on.
Modern life didn't fix this. It just crowded the room.
The last person to leave fiat gets debased the worst.
The day they finally switch to Bitcoin, they still win.
Bitcoin doesn't punish latecomers.
The door never closes.
You're not lazy...
Half your job is buttering up superiors - the other half is not outshining them.
That's not human nature.
It's what happens when debt-based money forces companies to grow forever.
Every crisis in the old money ends the same way.
A printer runs or a bailout gets written.
Bitcoin has no printer.
No seat of power to appeal to.
Spend it without earning it back and it's gone.
You can never see the snowflake that starts the avalanche.
Before the Berlin Wall fell, most East Germans would have called you crazy...
But underneath, minds were already shifting.
Every cascade looks impossible - right up until it isn't.
The low-grade dread you can't shake isn't political.
It isn't economic.
It's monetary.
A 300-year-old debt-based money system that has to inflate to survive.
That's what you're actually feeling.
Getting the bag isn't about the bag.
What you're really earning is TRUST.
Money is just the receipt.
Bitcoin makes that receipt harder to forge.
For all of recorded history, one thing hasn't changed.
Someone controlled the tool that measured your time.
Which meant someone else set what your life was worth.
Bitcoin is the first measuring stick no one owns.
An 87-year math conjecture just fell.
Human mathematicians couldn't crack it for generations...
An AI vaporized it over a World Cup final.
What used to take a lifetime - now takes a weekend.
Money exists because we forget.
A 1996 Minneapolis Federal Reserve paper spelled it out.
With a shared record of who contributed what, you wouldn't need money.
That's what money is. A patch for missing memory.
The Federal Reserve couldn't be undone once enough insiders understood it.
Woodrow Wilson tried and was too late.
Bitcoin is that same lesson in reverse.
Co-opt the devs, backdoor the code, capture the platforms: too many node runners already know the rules.
The cost of one step forward in math used to be a human lifetime.
An AI just disproved an 87-year-old conjecture in an afternoon...
Seconds now - milliseconds soon.
Now ask what that means for every other field of knowledge.
Bitcoin's ledger is fully traceable on purpose.
That's what makes it verifiable.
Bolt identity onto that ledger and you get the perfect surveillance state.
Satoshi left identity out so privacy could be built above it.
You're filling a bathtub with a hole in it.
Someone points at the hole.
You look away.
Not stupidity, just a truth too big to hold.
You'll turn back when staying the same hurts more than looking does.
