Which side is the slippery slope on?
Changing the software is one.
Leaving it untouched is another.
BOTH slide somewhere.
If we're going to name slopes, we should name them all.

A daily live show about the monetary transition from fiat to Bitcoin - AI deflation, energy abundance, and the restoration of humanity. Hosted by Ricky Zhang. Live weekdays at 10am PT / 1pm ET. Clips daily.
Nobody ever taught you what inflation actually is.
It was made to sound too complex for normal people.
It isn't. It's OBVIOUS.
Your money buys less each year, and that's the whole thing.
Every dollar ever created cost nothing to make.
A keystroke, a decree, done.
Bitcoin is the first money that costs real energy to create.
Actual joules, not a metaphor.
That's the anchor no keystroke can fake.
Majority doesn't always win.
A stubborn 10 to 20 percent can drag everyone else along.
When defecting from them costs more than joining them.
Talk is cheap. Game theory isn't.
Can code alone defend a world made of code?
No.
Attackers run the same code you do.
AI generates infinite attacks at zero cost.
Bitcoin ties digital defense to physical energy in tens of thousands of places.
The West didn't end the violence of the last century.
It just pushed it out of view.
Proxy wars abroad.
Inflation at home.
Peace at the core is paid for at the edges.
Is there any getting away from the shitslinging in Bitcoin?
No.
A leaderless system has no other way to make decisions.
The fight isn't the failure: it's the governance.
Bitcoin is software.
But software alone doesn't change the world.
People do, by choosing to use it.
That's what owning Bitcoin actually means.
Oil companies flare methane because moving it isn't worth it.
A miner and a Starlink dish turn that fire into Bitcoin.
Pollution becomes money.
Property secured by joules, not blood.
Everyone's saying - skip college, go into the trades.
That's a two-year fix at best.
Robotics is only a couple of years behind the AI wave.
When they merge, the trades go too.
The band-aid: same panic, delayed.
Who is the market?
Not some referee in the sky...
It's you.
It's the sum of what each person chooses to do.
Letting the market decide is itself a decision.
A 2% inflation target doesn't feel like an attack.
That's why it works.
Open force triggers resistance.
A policy target doesn't.
The transfer is the same either way.
Does having more Bitcoin give you more say over the rules?
No.
MicroStrategy holds nearly a million coins.
It can't change a single one.
That's the first money in history where wealth doesn't buy the rulebook.
Why does letting anyone store anything on Bitcoin centralize it?
Whoever uploads the data captures the profit.
Every node runner pays the storage cost.
Fewer people can afford to run nodes.
Freedom to dump anything is freedom for the few.
The biggest Bitcoin fight since 2017 lands in August.
Miners are holding out, watching each other.
First pool to break ranks: the rest cascade behind it.
What forces the first move? Nodes run by regular people.
Show up and your vote actually counts.
Every two months you'll see "CEOs are hiring humans back."
It'll be true, for two months at a time.
The medium-term trend runs one direction.
Same work, fraction of the people.
We say the land was taken by force.
Then we keep living on it exactly as before.
The acknowledgment doesn't reach the descendants: it reaches us, and it lets us feel okay about that.
Whoever wins gets to write the culture that makes winning feel fine.
The ideal: every node runner judges BIP-110 on the merits alone.
That's not how humans work.
We're tribal creatures.
In-group, out-group bias is real, even inside Bitcoin.
Pretending you're above it is how it moves you.
If you had all the money in the world, what would you do?
Most people go blank.
The real problem: they were never taught how to want anything.
Bitcoin gives the time back. Knowing what to do with it is the harder question.
The West didn't end the harm.
It traded street violence for a shrinking paycheck.
Suicides, delayed families, lives that never started.
Same casualties, in a quieter form.
