A daily live show about the monetary transition from fiat to Bitcoin - AI deflation, energy abundance, and the restoration of humanity. Hosted by Ricky Zhang. Live weekdays at 10am PT / 1pm ET. Clips daily.
Kyle Kyle Huber went to Kibera. Five years ago the river was choked with trash. Now it's flowing again. On camera a man walked up and threw a bag right in. The river came back before he did.
"Permissionless" used to mean anyone can use Bitcoin as money. Now it's being used to argue anyone can put anything on the blockchain. Same word. Different Bitcoin.
You trade your hours for dollars. You spend those dollars just to eat and pay rent. And the work you do to earn them, you hate. Sunday night dread isn't adulthood. It's the trade.
Kyle Huber had given up on filmmaking. Started a supplement company, bounced through startups. Then Bitcoin pulled him back to the camera. Sound money doesn't just fix prices - it gives people permission to do the work they were made for.
If your Bitcoin lives in an ETF or on an exchange: Wall Street can swing the price short term. Self-custody is the way out. You hold the coins yourself. Nobody can take them. That option never closes.
Who's in charge of Bitcoin? Nobody. The rules come from which node software each person chooses to run: consensus is the sum of those choices. Humans have never decided anything this way before.
Proof of stake sounds like an upgrade. It's the dollar system in new clothes. More tokens - more say over the rules. Bitcoin made changing the rules cost real energy.
You may not live to see Bitcoin win. Your kids will. They'll grow up with money that buys more every year - not less. That's why the work now matters.
Bitcoin doesn't make people less greedy. Human nature doesn't change. What changes is what greed has to do to win: harvest printed money, or actually create value. Same humans, better rules.
Nations hoarded gold to control the money. MicroStrategy is hoarding Bitcoin the same way. Number go up isn't the win. Bitcoin only breaks the cycle when people use it as money.
Woodrow Wilson signed the Federal Reserve into law in 1913. A few years later he called it a grave mistake. He couldn't undo it. Too many people already held the power. Insight always arrives LATE.
The money supply is the debt. The debt has to grow forever... So the money supply is effectively infinite. 2 percent inflation is just the polite name for it.
Nobody is actually driving the fiat money system. It just filters for people who prove they'll defend it. That's not a conspiracy, it's selection. Change the incentives and you change who rises.
Not being able to afford groceries is one kind of pain. Being praised for a life you don't want is another. Golden handcuffs: still handcuffs. Bitcoin isn't just for the broke. It's for anyone stuck playing a game that isn't theirs.
Bitcoin as money isn't a future scenario. It's happening in Costa Rica, El Salvador, South Africa, Peru. Whole communities transacting on the Bitcoin Lightning Network. No bank accounts, no dollars. The places furthest from the money printing core got there first.
A reputation takes decades to build. You can trade it away in pieces - thinking nobody notices. People notice. The small pieces add up. Then it goes all at once.
BIP-110 isn't about stopping spam. It's the network's immune response. Nodes saying no to non-monetary use of Bitcoin. And reminding everyone who actually decides what Bitcoin is.
Nobody gives up their freedom all at once. It's 2% a year... Small enough to shrug off: big enough to compound. That's how you sink with the boat instead of leaving it.
No one is running the old money system. That's the uncomfortable part. It's an emergent beast made of people chasing their own incentives. You can't fix it by naming a villain.
Anthony Molinaro on fixing the world: Fix yourself first. You can be the tugboat pulling people to shore. Or the lighthouse they steer by. Living well is how you help.
