it feels like a small town here on nostr and so fun we can get to know each other and provide v4v

Is anyone hosting private blossom relays to backup private data like home movies/pictures? thinking it might be a good first project for me to try and implement.
I can 100% relate to this

PSA that Coinbase doesn't know how lightning works, went to move lightning to coinbase to use a coinbase card to pay for breakfast and it never made it, (left my lightning wallet but never arrived there) The agent didn't know they supported lightning and tried to tell me i didn't send it because they couldn't find an on-chain transaction. I spent 45 minutes on chat getting it figured out, now have to wait up to 7 days for it to be solved. (this would be easier if everyone just accepted lightning already!) I've never had an issue with another service or company thus far, but at least taught the agent about what lightning is and how it works, one at a time we will get there !
#nostr where have you been! Just discovering this and it is super cool! thinking of pivoting my simplesats bitcoin budgeting tool to being a nostr native..... hmmm so much reading and planning to do and only one lifetime to do it all!
Every store i go into i ask if they accept bitcoin. It has led to a lot of interesting conversations. Just last week I was at a secondhand store and asked if they took bitcoin. They explained that they'd love to but aren't setup for it yet.
They had a square terminal and pointed out that soon they might be able too. We kept talking and it came out that they had a large investment in xrp, my heart sank. We had a long conversation where they talked about not being able to afford bitcoin and that xrp was about to take off!
We talked about why xrp and the typical speed argument came up, blah blah blah. I wish everyone could experience lightning payments. Bitcoin is ahead of the curve in so many ways!
I finished by sharing an article about the centralization problem and the xrp ceo getting ready to cash out a big chunk. Keep talking to folks and taking the tome to educate, we are so early to #bitcoin and we need to have ways to show people what an amazing and freeing evosystem. Hope has all but fled the fiat system and people are going to go to defi snd crypto to try snd get rich. Hopefully we can save a few of them along the way!
Stay humble and stack sats! Zap me if you think the couple running this store needs to drop xrp and stack sats!
Anyone that likes envelop budgeting, or believes in putting all of your money to work, please take a moment and give me feedback on my new project SimpleSats. The idea is to have an envelop banking system that is aware of your payday (where you take your pay in Sats) and can help organize your expenses, long term savings goals, and emergency funds. It will help you save what you need for each expense (i.e. it knows you get paid every 2 weeks, or twice a month, or month, and helps you set aside your expenses and goals, saves a bit in a special envelop called the volatility buffer to help with the fluctuating price of fiat compared to our sound satoshis, and long term goals will be setup with on-chain wallets/cold storage. I have a few questions:
1. Does anyone else want to live on the bitcoin standard or is this mostly an investment vehicle at this point for most folks?
2. Would anyone else find this useful?
3. Having played with albyhub i'm leaning towards using that, but as of right now i've been building it with strike for billpay/still have to do fiat things. What is your preference?
4. Bsd or gpl? I want it to be open source and a public good.
5. I don't have a ton of time for this, but I want/need a product to do these things to move to the bitcoin standard, are there mechanisms in the community for public funding/crowdsourcing? I'm relatively new to #NOSTR and #Bitcoin and trying to see if that is something common in our community?
I really appreciate everything and any feedback, critisism, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

alright after setting up albyhub in fly.io i want to build simplesats (an envelop budgeting system for living on btc standard) there. Does anyone know the folks over there to get me early bank account access? I love strike but this whole nwc, budgeting, and self sovereignty seems such a beautiful thing!
albyhub on fly.io is ๐ฅ
Happy to announce that ive started development on some open source software to do envelop style budgeting with sats. I want to completely opt out of the current monetary system and i'm hoping that this can make my and other folk's lives easier. Here is thw thing. I have a farm, I have several kids, I have a full time job. If this is something that people care about and are interested please let me know! sometimes it feels like my creative efforts are always *meh* i keep going because i enjoy programming/ building things but one day i want to build something folks use/need! Your thoughts are much appreciated! #bitcoin Moving shortly with the whole family to life on the bitcoin standard!!!! wish us luck! Hopefully that means we can build fast and work out the kinks for ya'll!

How is Argentina doing under Milei? One thing I've noticed in history is that Argentinians know how to revolt.
I'm relatively new to the Elixir community, I do my best to learn in new and unique ways. A lot of the libraries i've written thus far I need to go back and rewrite huge chunks with what i've learned. This is by far and away the library I am most proud of. I turned of my LSP , opened up helix and the api documentation and just wrote this code. This feels like such a huge change for me in productivity. I did my best to implement the API as is and document as well as I could. This library provides programmatic access to search results from brave search.
Want to feed your ai project? Make sure to get the right key from brave but that should be easily doable. Need to write custom searches for news or intel feeds in your elixir project? Have at it! I want to thank absolutely everyone that has helped me get to this point, I thought I hated programming and pursued other careers/ambitions after my first programming gig as a Java Spring Boot developer right out of college. I did systems administration, moved to Security for a while, and now do Intelligence work for a large company. But I have the bug now. I love programming in elixir. Please take some time and get a free api key from brave and test this out, please provide feedback to help me make this the best project it can be!
[Source code is available](https://github.com/osintowl/BraveEx) please feel free to leave a github star, make prs, or open up bug reports.
I'm really excited about goggles in brave search. They allow you to modify the algorithm to discard, prioritize, or deprioritze search results based on domains, patterns, filetypes, etc. I plan on adding in a few goggles to the repo for folks to use in company research, cybersecurity, etc.
Docs are available on [hexdocs](https://hexdocs.pm/brave_ex/BraveEx.html)
Just harvested these today and made a pasta sauce. Spaghetti came from the ripe spaghetti squash in the garden too. I love the #homestead #garden

any elixir devs on here with nerves experience? I have a cool idea.
