Apologies I’ve neglected my lightning node recently. We have moved and my node hasn’t followed us just yet… sadly it lost access to the internet for a while during the latest winter storm and got a bunch of force closures. I will reopen channels to trusted partners and manage it again I move it to the new citadel!

Strike just lowered their margin call requirement to just 65% instead of 60% and extended the window to 3 days instead of 24 hours — all of this in the middle of a cascade of liquidation. @npub1cn4t...3vle doing god’s work.

Bitcoin might be back to $63,000 but today, at my local farmer’s market I paid my butcher in #bitcoin. Focus on what matters ✌🏽

Finally had the chance of opening my @SatsOil this week and without giving away too much, it was truly one of the best most and thoughtful experience I’ve had interacting with a nostr/Bitcoin product. The packaging is full of Easter eggs that will keep you collecting more and more. The Olive oil itself is simply outstanding and shipped straight from Sicily. Highly recommend.

My first Bitcoin transaction to a Square merchant for this beautiful Henri Matisse Lithograph of the 1000 Arabian nights. I found it at a tiny vintage store owned by a Gen-Z named Lilly in Greenwich, CT. I noticed she had Square running on an iPad and when I inquired about the print she said I’ll give you 10% off if you pay cash. I replied how about 20% and I’ll pay you in Bitcoin. She looked at me incredulous and asked how? I pointed at her Square iPad. She said really?!! That’s so sick! I showed her how to turn on Bitcoin payments on the spot. 30 seconds later she had her Bitcoin wallet setup. I paid with Zeus connected to my Node at home. The transaction was more than $600 so we split it in 2. Worked flawlessly, routed through @Nodestrich ♾️ node ⚡️ She had no idea about the price of a coin but was just so happy to receive her first sats. She told me she was going to hold onto them forever. Now, for the pain points. She had her Square POS app running in retail mode and Bitcoin didn’t show up on her checkout screen as an option even after she had turned it on. We had to switch her app to standard POS, which she was more happy to do but that was far from ideal since it required so much handholding on my part. I definitely wouldn’t have been able to do that at a busy coffee shop for example. Is there any reason why Bitcoin is only available in standard POS mode? @npub1ds3h...hzcn you guys should definitely look into a fix. Other than that 10/10 experience 🤝 Bitcoin for art. Bullish.

Trying a test run of the Square interface as a merchant so I can better educate shops at my local town — Am I missing something to accept Bitcoin as payment? I can only seem to do the conversion part 🤨 Cc @npub1ds3h...hzcn Anyone tried this? #asknostr
