GM Nostr! Foggy and slow morning after the rain last night.

I’ve spent most of my time on X just scrolling, but I’ve been off it for nearly two weeks and don’t miss it one bit. Nostr captures that raw, early Twitter energy: no algorithm, no ads, no bots, no manufactured engagement. I never cared for Instagram or the Meta ecosystem, it’s always felt too curated. I think it’s time to make #Nostr my exclusive platform.

Anyone running full Bitcoin Core + Core Lightning (c-lightning) on OpenBSD? I’m going to compile both on yet another ThinkCentre M715q Tiny secured this weekend. What Lightning client are you using? #selfhosting #bitcoin #openbsd #lightningnetwork image

What a productive day. I’ve been so impressed with what Nostr can do that I just deployed a private relay on OpenBSD. It’s not exactly plug-and-play, setting it up on a fresh OS requires some manual tweaking and configuration. But it’s absolutely worth it for the end result: complete data sovereignty. Here’s the OpenBSD stack I’m running: • pf Firewall: Only ports 22 (rate-limited), 80, and 443 exposed • relayd: Automatic SSL/TLS management & traffic splitting • httpd: NIP-05 verification & static site hosting • Private Nostr Relay: Fully isolated and managed via rcctl Tightly locked down and fully independent. Your Nostr notes truly belong on your own server. #Nostr #OpenBSD #PrivateRelay image

Fibonacci numbers encoded in petals and spirals are a literal fingerprint of the Creator. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?" (Job 38:5)

1 Corinthians 12:3b-7 No one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit. There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.

It’s been a week since I returned to Nostr after only a quick few-day spin with Damus half a year ago. This time I’m using Nostur, and I’m really impressed. The themes are beautiful (I’m digging the orange one the most) and the app feels super responsive. What Nostr clients are y’all using and why? #AskNostr

You don’t need to drop big money on hardware to run a solid local agent. Just picked up a used Lenovo ThinkCentre M715q (Ryzen 5 PRO) on eBay for ~$75, threw in extra 8GB RAM stick for ~$25, installed latest headless Fedora Server, and now running hermes-agent smoothly connected to my local inference server (Halo Strix). Low power, quiet, and more than enough. No fancy GPUs required. Local AI is more accessible than you think!

AI layoffs ate my job for lunch yesterday, yet by God’s tender mercy I came home from the hospital today carrying our healthy newborn daughter. Such a precious soul entrusted to us by the Lord. Deo gratias!
