The storm has passed and we didn’t lose our power. Roads are still a bit tricky to drive on but I hear the main roads are okay. Will take a few days to clear given how the temp will reach above freezing but then drop below freezing at night. Will see how long the ice/snow stick around.

Lucked out today. Despite the snow/freezing rain we didn’t lose power on the homestead. Not to say we might later in the night but so far so good. Did what I usually do on snow days: chili, crackers w/cheese & summer sausage while watching old Sherlock Holmes movies.

It has begun. Snow is slowly falling and I’m hearing vehicles struggling to drive around the icy roads outside the homestead on the “Big M.T.”. If I can hear their spinning tires struggling (and the homestead is a good ways from the road) then I know it’s bad. The clock is ticking.
Movie night tonight with “Teh Waifu” before we get nailed with snow/ice. She hardly recalls what happened in the first movies but found these two to be very violent. Me likied them. 😈

Yes. Everyone here has gone insane. Food stores are decimated/some are limiting items, lines for propane refills, gas stations running half capacity due to running out of fuel for vehicles & gas canisters, pharmacies running low on meds and good luck trying to find a generator/extension cables of any kind. 😳
An odd thing to grab up before the storms. “Teh Waifu” wanted a stylus for her iPhone given her fingernails are getting too long for use. A pack of 10 was overkill but they were much cheaper than a 3 set that were much longer. These do the job. 🤷♂️
Knowing “shakes” he’d either make up a bunch of words & coast on his writing cred as a “literally genius” where his fans would accept as is OR rip off someone’s work and pawn it off as his own thus continuing his legacy of being a talentless hack.
But that’s only a theory. 😈
