When I flew to FL to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary last month “Teh Waifu” convinced me to not bring my CC since “we’re on vacation.” After today she has no objections with me taking my CC to NE next month. Things have changed.

Before I sat back and finally relaxed after the events of today, I made doubly sure to spend as much time with my niece “MM” while she was over. She let me pet her head and she held my finger as we swung on the backyard swing. I think we both needed it.

Welp. Checking the “discover” option on BlueSky & Mastodon was a mistake. Not sure which one was worse: seeing the Charlie Kirk assassination videos or seeing the users on those aforementioned social media sites celebrating/justifying his death. Mask off moment indeed. 😕
