๐ The face when you were planning a post, and Brave browser decided to freeze up on the Primal page.
GM Nostr friends.
Feels like my days of cold brew coffee are approaching an end. It's been a little cooler and rainy the last couple days, but I'm not sad about it. As a kid growing up in the US, I was conditioned to love Summer - no school, long hot days of doing whatever I wanted...it was bliss. Did I really love summer the season, or just the time off?
These days, it's impossible to sleep when our bedroom stays at 77F overnight. I hate taking the dog for a 10 minute walk and coming back sweating and sunburned (I'm very, very pale). Also: biting insects.
Not that winter is a peach either, but as a girl with some padding, I'm more prepared for the cold temps.
My vote: Autumn.
Crunchy leaves underfoot, a crispness to the morning air, apple season, and all the pumpkin decor I could possibly want.
Ah, just thinking about it makes me smile.
Go away, August!

Hi Nostr friends.
I'm dialed in for the #Blockparty today. Here's hoping we finally have some success.
Playing around with my start9 server and raspberry pi while Hubby is over working at his mom's house today. Can't seem to connect to the server, and I'm wondering if my old desktop finally bit the dust.
My vertigo came back this morning. Disappointed but not surprised. I have started to pretend I'm carrying something on my head and try not to make sudden movements, and it helps some.
Other than that, might dig into a book today. Made Hubs watch Age of Ultron with me last night, which he insisted he had never seen before. (But he bought a new laptop and was setting it up the whole time, so I'd wager he still hasn't seen most of it. Sigh.)
Anyway, happy Saturday all.
Anyone know if the artist Hurling Pixels is on Nostr? I tried to find them, and can only find links to their tracks. I'm digging their tunes.
Fighting to stay awake today, Nostr fam. Coffee isn't helping. Life is coming at us recently, so gotta double down and remember we're children of the living God, under His protection.
I'm still worn out, exhausted with everything, but my Creator is by my side.
Cleaned out my closet yesterday and sent two fat bags of clothes back to an online consignment store. Trying to clear out unnecessary stuff for an eventual move, since our townhouse just isn't big enough with all of Hubby's stuff and tools.
Picked up a few groceries, came home and spent 20 minutes on the stationary bike grooving to some tunes on Wavlake, then took a nap.
Did some work in there somewhere, but this afternoon went by in kind of a blur.
GM/GA Nostr fam. After a busy day yesterday, we're all zonked after church today. Good day to rest in anticipation of another week ahead.

GM Nostr friends. Hubby is off to run some stuff from his mom's house to the local recycling center, leaving me some time to play with my Raspberry Pi and drink my coffee slowly.
Twin Cities Agora meetup today! I'm very excited to go check it out. Hubby is cynical, but coming with, even though I offered to let him stay home.
Tried to explain to him why I'm so excited about Nostr before bed last night, but he just brushed it off as something no one outside the mainstream will ever use.
Be proud of me, friends. I didn't shove him off the bed! ๐
This is completely random, but does anyone have any kind of cooling tech for their bed? I'm thinking BedJet, or something similar. Hubby and I have had trouble sleeping due to our bedroom being crazy hot at night, even with the A/C blasting and multiple fans going.
I have to give a shout out to @ZEUS for being awesome once again. They reached out to me and fixed my Minibits mint issue. (Had to delete and re-add the mint to get it to stop giving me a 'not enough funds' error message.) Thanks guys!
Gooooooood morning Nostr friends. It's FRIDAY.
Drinkin' my coffee and eating my Greek yogurt (almost typed 'green'. That would've been gross).
Had a dream last night that I had to travel on a plane, and for some reason, that triggered "them" taking Lu away from me, and I had to send my dad to apply to go adopt her again before someone else could. Only felt reassured no one was taking her away when she gave me good morning kisses. Brains are weird.
The weekend stretches before us, if only we could fly over this whole work day part.
We have a friend coming over tonight to binge a couple episodes of the new season of Wednesday. Can't wait!
Had to share this. My brother in law's golden Remy (short for Remington) with their newest batch of chickens. He is the sweetest, most chill pup ever.

I'm trying very hard to undo bad habits I've learned along the way, but wrestling with a bunch of empty cardboard meant for the recycling in our tiny garage and bashing my elbow against a cupboard just set me off on cursing a blue streak. ๐คฌ Elbow still hurts, and I can feel a bruise forming.
GM Nostr friends!
I'm feeling positive that today is going to be a good day.
Siding on the building is done, so no more hammering!
Got my Raspberry Pi 500 up and running yesterday. Ran into an issue where my Contour rollermouse seems to lock up the UI, so will be researching that a bit more today, along with whether or not RPi can handle Linux appimage files. ๐ค
Oh yeah, and I have work. Guess that factors in somewhere!
Lu stayed upstairs in her bed last night, instead of beginning to shiver as soon as it got dark and crawling under the couch for hours. Hubby kept bringing her back upstairs and dropping her in her little bed, and I think after the third time, she finally got the hint. She's started shaking and hiding every night for the last week or so, and we still can't figure out why.
Gotta figure out a time soon to take my MIL out for dinner. Her birthday was Tuesday, and last year we just completely let it slip by without celebrating. Not every day someone makes it to 74!
Have a fantastic day, Nostriches. Mwah.
First post running on a Raspberry Pi 500!
Only issue so far is that it doesn't seem to like my Contour Rollermouse. Keeps freezing, which makes me think it might be overloading the USB port...? Will have to do some more testing.
The keyboard is solid. No number pad off to the side, which is kind of a bummer, but using it primarily for personal stuff I shouldn't miss it too much. The micro HDMI was a bit of a bear to wrestle. I have a docking station between my peripherals and my work laptop, so I had to tear that apart (and will have to put it back together before work tomorrow), but otherwise I'm quite pleased.
Bought a 256GB micro SD card instead of the standard that came with the device, and will plug that in shortly. Just wanted to get everything set up first and take it for a test run.
Next up, connecting with my Start9 server. Poor Hubby will just have to watch Youtube by himself while I play.
