The Mistral LLM running on my local machine is absolutely crazy good. I don't even have a GPU just using the quantized model on my CPU but damn it is doing some impressive shit. Local LLMs are easily exceeding GPT 3.5 at this point. If you have a modern CPU and at least 32GB RAM, check out Ollama (command line) or LLM Studio (GUI) both are open source and use the same models. You can run it on 16GB RAM but it'll lag, ideally you do want at least 32GB, the quantized models use a lot of memory to run on a CPU.

It's kinda crazy that criticising the corrupt government and monopolistic corporations run by oligarchs who want to make us all serfs unites us so closely that I find myself having to check if someone doing it is left wing or right wing because it could just as easily be either. I'm seeing this intergenerational too. I've seen everyone from boomers to zoomers agree on exactly why the system is fucked. Is the divide and conquer method starting to crumble as more people unite against the same corrupt system? You can only push people down so long before they revolt. (I'm very stoned rn so I hope this made sense.)

GPT-4 keeps making typos in its own variable names today, over and over again even when I prompt it specifically not to make typos, it's basically a hungover intern rn 😅 At least it can find and fix those typos when I tell it to but > `storage_ahnfo` Lol you okay ChatGPT?
