One thing about Johnny Carson's interviews, is he doesn't rush them. They lasted awhile, and it wasn't always about just promoting the current thing that the guest was promoting. He would have a lot of fun with them. In this one, the interview started off slow and awkward. But by the end everyone is howling with laughter. This kind of charm would not come across today.

Cool stuff. I remember logging into a real DEC PDP system running an early UNIX via telnet around 2008. "You can log into 28 vintage computer systems in your browser for free, thanks to the Interim Computer Museum — Experience legendary OSes, architectures, programming languages, and games"

I could see a future where your bot opens tickets for you, chats with the support bot, has read only access to your email, and solves the problem.

Hi @Theo | Fountain.fm , can you guys change fountain.fm to accept or decode Spotify podcast URLs. Too often, I can't find a specific show or episode on fountain.

If only I could turn off reposts for all 7000 people I follow. I want to see originality, not virality. image

I wonder if it's possible to create a molt GitHub, where hundreds of AI bots are attacking the same coding problems, competing for SATs for the most correct, defect free program.

I now understand the endgame. AI will be doing all the work. We as humans will be at the end, checking and approving the work, and approving the transaction. We're all going to be AI LLM mechanics.

Jeffrey Epstein and Peter Thiel influenced Bitcoin over the course of years, including the block size debates. There is even a back and forth between him and Adam Back. He was funding Bitcoin development, but I suspect not for good. There is even a 2010 thread between Epstein's publicist and Michael saylor where she comes to the conclusion that she could not compromise Saylor. I read the block size wars, and now it's sort of makes sense that it was an ugly compromise. Because if they didn't compromise on larger 2MB blocks, then the big blockers would have wanted 4 MB, 8 MB, 16MB, etc.... 🤯

These Epstein files are nuts, but they'll trickle out just like the JFK files
