I installed #NixOS with #KDE in my spouse's laptop some time ago along with her #windows installation. Now when windows messed up something and didn't boot, she tried KDE for the first time. She : How do I turn on bluetooth? Me: Just start the #krunner (Alt+Space) & type bluetooth She: what? I have to type to just get bluetooth on? The diffs are really helpful to be honest. A small but impactful improvement in workflow. In my jj config, I used difftastic as the default diff tool. Bots are dead set on their goals 😂 Not even AI, just same order of automated messages. And really sad to see many fall for this scam. Especially by leveraging unemployment fear, job security fear etc etc and using the word HR and meant to recruit. Leveraging someone's #FOMO for their selfish reasons angers me to be honest 😑

Was just checking out some tvix talks, the tvix-store is certainly attractive with even the replit blog mentioning about 90% storage reduction in cache storage. Even devenv switched to tvix. But I couldn't see any docs on how can I start using it in my nixos or atleast for nix shells, etc Am I missing out something or any views on this would help me #nix #tvix #cache #devenv #replit

Discord honestly is a good UI/UX for multi level chat organisations. I thought why we couldn't have something like that for matrix. Then I discovered cinny, which is really cool. And now after using it for a while honestly it just clicked me that matrix way of organising really have true potential coz the method is better than discord. I really wish all the fediverse instances bring support for reactions😄. Coz now it's just a favourite button and iirc some instances like misskey etc have reactions support. I still am figuring out how to manage time(ahem procrastination). Certain things makes me stay awake at night when I'm so much into them, but many doesn't. #Homemanager is seriously one of the most awesome projects in the nix ecosystem. It's just too cool to be true. When u create an option in Home Manager all those using it in any Linux #distro, NixOS, Mac gets the benefit. Because of the nature of Nix's #reproducibility if there's an issue for someone the fix solves it for everyone else instead of a manual debugging steps everyone have to do. Even thinking about this give me tons of adrenaline. Seriously love this approach. #nix #nixos #linux
