Finally it's happening in Linux communities🔥 IMO the true power of Linux etc is in its combined community efforts. Fragmentation is needed but also some areas like these definitely have common work to be shared and benefited by all. Tried setting up nix plasma-manager today. Just added a basic config now. Powerdevil and panels are yet to be added. For panels I think I should use something like #waybar or something else. (Suggest some waybar like thing which is both lightweight and aesthetically good). Also anyone using #nix #plasma-manager? Would love to see ur configs if possible for reference😅. #inshellisense is really cool with iDE like suggestions. Small tool but now navigating through the directories feels more confident and clear to me. one more terminal added to my arsenal. Some software on the screen: KDE Plasma, Kitty terminal, Zellij Btw, zellij is really cool. I never knew I needed it until I got the taste of it. I guess we humans dont know whether something is good or not until we experience it for ourselves. Also first time posting from #tokodon btw 😄

10+ years of casual #linux user. Now in #NixOS for 1.5+ years what a journey. One thing I learnt about myself over the years is that, I might not be a pro Linux knowledgeable guy. But my tenacity will push me to learn things deeper & deeper when things go wrong. I know I might not be the best at Linux, but that won't stop me from digging deeper when something goes wrong. My tenacity & the way I blend multiple domains to other domains is my skill I guess i.e Creativity #ksvthoughts #ksv236

Found this long ago. But just now tried it❤️🔥 Super cool for #terminal, it didn't replace my existing ghost suggestions given by my #shell. Just gives me anther way to use suggestion #completions. Why didn't I use this earlier. I just piped something to bat and after '-' it suggested each flags and when navigating each flags it shows the description of what that flag does. Less need man for basic checking I guess❤️ It's also available in #nixpkgs

The black keyboard of mine worked fine for 11+years 😭🤧. Both the space bar and the Enter button isn't working properly (like it's getting pressed many times automatically when I press once). Keeping this one as spare for rare scenarios. This one is a very solid one, I was smashing the keys a lot of times during my school days when I was playing some games that time. #Keyboard worked for more than a decade and only 2 keys slightly messing up. 🔥A very durable product.

Honestly, this is one of the coolest projects I have ever seen. 🔥 I always dreamt that I could server music independently instead of relying on other platforms(when I restart my music journey). Just discovered this super cool static-site generator for musicians called Faircamp. I haven’t used it, but it looks neat. It’s def worth a pee...

I'm not a touch typist. But today I got an idea of how a #keyboard should be more suitable for me. Like #accessibility wise mostly. Not talking about the split models. But the other aspects like how visually the alphabets numbers, function, modifier keys, etc should be visually accessible as each set having respective: 1) Shapes (keys/just a outline) 2) Colors Also each types should have the different: 3) touch feel Like different patterns on the keys to distinguish them while touching.

Honestly, #Zellij is just too good❤️. I'm just using the basic panes management now & it's really great experience. But my fav thing so far is the ability to attach a session 🔥. On #remote machine & start zellij always. I do some #command & when #ssh #connection disconnects, I just hop in ssh again with `zellij attach` and it just reopens the #session fully for me🤯, nothing in stdout is lost & even whole layout is preserved🔥 Btw, I haven't used tmux before. #terminal #productivity #cli #tui

Tailscale is way too easy to setup. I'm not a network expert, so this really helps me a lot in setting up a secure connection between my devices. Love the free tier - 100 devices and 3 users (really great). Connection between my devices is really seamless. Had to fiddle some tailscale options in nixos to avoid doing sudo, pretty simple too. Joined other tailnet(also mine) and shared the machines to my network. Super easy and fun. #tailscale #networking #nixos #tailnet

Hi All 2025 has been a great year to me, at least a great start for everything. It's the year I came out of Agoraphobia, my body shook to speak out loud, panic in crowded places, confidence issues to the point I don't go outside my home much, I didn't even talk to my friends for around 2 years. I avoided a lot of social gatherings like many functions, celebrations etc All I do is make myself at home with my computer and explore & learn the beauty of tech world through Linux, FOSS etc
