I think it's different from this. I think it's not just escapism as such but more a longing to communicate through time. To connect our minds in this age to those of a future time. Humanity longs for this.
#Bitcoin is a version of this. Not art but value. It's our first chance for everyday people to properly provide for their descendants. I throw my purchasing power forward in time with love. View quoted note →

Anyone touting their successful strategy to 'own the facts' which is really just masked declaration of 'controlling the narrative' is obviously evil as fuck.

We are going to have to fight for #bitcoin. Not figuratively. We literally will have to find a way to move in unison in a decentralised way to evade and outsmart centralised totalitarian govts for long enough to outlast the dying breaths of their own imploding system.
It is the only way. It will happen. And if you are sitting there on your couch thinking you are just going to be given the keys to the city you are quite simply a delusional young or old man.
So many of you are going to give up your bitcoin and turn off your miners and for that I have great degree sadness. Those brave enough to stand tall, most likely those who held the line against Covid, will not live in luxury but in peace knowing they will pass on to their descendants an asset destined to anchor the world into the future for Millenia.
The thing that most people in #bitcoin fail to understand is that most normies do understand decentralisation and are utterly terrified of it. Hate it.
Most normies will prefer govt centralisation racquets for as long as humanly possible and will only come over to decentralised coordination when mass group psychosis directs them too.
So bitcoiners are utterly right in general but wildly wrong about adoption timeframes.
And these normies in the middle of the bell curve will get the price they deserve. Which will actually never be a price of bitcoin as their life will remain denominated in digital fiat currencies pegged to #bitcoin. But their daily lives will never be referenced or denominated in bitcoin. It will be as if bitcoin never existed even though it's fundamentally underpinning all commerce. Normies won't know. Just read the Stripe Services Agreement in entirety. 😩
If we haven't wiped that business off the face of the planet within the next 5 years with an effective layer 1 or 2 solution then I don't think we deserve #bitcoin base layer SOV.
We need to get serious about attacking these opportunities.
@André Loja I see Madeira is in political turmoil. Concerned?
Never forget that the British and European aristocracy are the original gangsters. This monetary system is a child of their imagination and labor.
Buy #bitcoin to opt out.

Fully agree with this. Bullish on Bitcoin backed VC in a new market paradigm (I.e no association to the nonsense distortions we see today around capital misallocation). It won't be perfect but it will be better, more targeted and fiscally disciplined in the absence of "free" debt. View quoted note →

I have to say I'm absolutely loving this Tesla meltdown.
One primary liquidity driver is going to the draining of the BTFP. They have to extend and pretend on that or we see mass liquidity traps. View quoted note →
