Back from summer vacation and Baltic Honeybadger, I mocked up the another approach to improve the UX for sending high-value #Bitcoin transactions in the Bitcoin Core App.
As some of you suggested, it uses RBF instead of a dedicated test transaction to verify the recipient's address before finalizing the transaction. Makes for a smoother UX and lower transaction fees. Thanks for the feedback 🙏
Here's a quick & dirty prototype.
Bugged @preston out of the blue today. Thanks for your your time and openness, it was a pleasure!

I listened to a recent episode of What Bitcoin did, where @Peter McCormack and @niftynei() 🇺🇸💸🧡 talked about the anxiety of sending large bitcoin transactions.
Sending a small test transaction before sending the full amount helps significantly, but wallet apps could maybe provide additional comfort by integrating a dedicated feature into the send flow.
So I mocked up a quick prototype of how the Bitcoin Core App (http://bitcoincore.app) could potentially handle this. Let me know what you think. #WordingNotFinal
Working on a design concept for a non-custodial miniscript-powered inheritance wallet.
Here's an intro to what it's about and a walkthrough of the prototype. It covers the first part of a multi-page reference design for the Bitcoin Design Guide.
