For the last decade or so, light roast coffees with high acid and tea-like clarity have become popular. IMHO they taste like feces that has gone sour. I prefer medium roast classico Italian espresso... the stuff that tastes like coffee.

Some people claim that this historical situation discussed here on PBS Newshour is just Russian propaganda. I think it is useful to see what we were debating about NATO and Russia back in 1994.
