Let nothing eclipse the 9/11 posts this year, as it did last year. And if there *is* another 'big event' that competes, well, that itself would be a data point, wouldn't it? image
Woah, Nellie! This gonna be good... "Taught by Dr. Lane G. Tipton, this course explores the person of Jesus Christ as the eternal Son of God, focusing on the theological, biblical, and historical foundations of Reformed Christology. Organized around the threefold framework of the Logos asarkos (the pre-existent Word), Logos incarnandus (the Word foreordained to assume human nature), and Logos ensarkos (the Word incarnate), students will examine the eternal generation of the Son, the pactum salutis, the hypostatic union, the divine and human natures of Christ, and the implications of each nature for his mediatorial work. The course also considers historical controversies, the ecumenical creeds, and confessional articulations in the Westminster Confession of Faith. Students will engage with biblical texts and classic Reformed primary sources to develop a coherent understanding of the Christological foundation of the Christian faith." "Christology 1: The Person of Christ is the first course in a projected four-part curriculum on the doctrine of Christ, designed especially for pre-seminary students and for the continuing education of church officers."
INCORRUPTIBLE 3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, [even] the salvation of [your] souls. Evidently BLAKE-2b mining is dominated by ASICs now, too. (Non-ASIC is BLAKE-2s.) I thought the reason for choosing that algorithm was precisely to end reliance on specialized hardware in order to make mining more decentralized. Then again, when the adversary has a money-printer and the power of taxation, I suppose they can always buy MOAR (of anything) than the masses. Fiat tentacles have reach. What a mess. What. a. mess. Gold is looking shinier every day.
Certain surveillance devices are popping up here and there. If something isn't done now, soon they'll pop up everywhere. And then the somethings that could be done cannot be done as easily as they can be done now. So I suppose it's kind of like now or never. We look at the Boomers and ask why they didn't do this-or-that to make our world better. What do you think the next generations will have in mind when they ask us the same question in 10-20 years? Just a purely hypothetical thought experiment.
