It suddenly comes home to me just how massive an economic revolt would have to be to move the needle. All the workers would have to strike unless or until paid in bitcoin. We would have to stand up, en masse, and outright refuse to transact in the USD. A full-on system halt.

Today we interviewed some people for a transfer of membership to our congregation. One of the many questions we ask is, 'what did Jesus do, that only humans do, that proves his humanity?' The normal answers are, he was born, he grew and matured, he hungered, he ate, he thirsted, he drank, he wept, he died, etc. Today I heard a 'new one' that is true, but made me laugh (and wince a little): "...he paid taxes." 😵😆🫠
