Everyday I work with javascript I want to quit working in tech more. Which is a really odd experience given that I got into tech and learned to program with JS. In hindsight I get the sense that I've done nothing but contribute more shit software to an increasly shit software saturated world.

Sam Altman getting fired from OpenAI is a conspiracy. Hear me out: This is a convenient way to get a bunch of talent to move to Microsoft. Altman gets fired, then most of the disgruntled talent follows him to MSFT. They (MSFT) already have access to the OpenAI source from investing a bunch of money (I believe, someone correct me if I am wrong), so they don't have to start from zero. Next they'll get a huge influx of veteran talent. MSFT can now develop closed source AI model(s) and further consolidate the AI market.

It is so lame that ISPs can block ports. I get it to a certain extent, but still it's bull shit. I should be able to host a mail server at my house if I want.

Why aren't people curious about life anymore? I say this as someone who was never curious about life until relatively recently. I used to just stay in side, play games, etc. In general, just waste away. I don't know how I got from there to here. I just started getting curious, it feels like over night. What I mean is, why aren't people intrigued enough to talk to people they come across like the poeple they might see regularly at Dunkin' Donuts or Subway? Why does it seem like no one is interested in figuring out what THEY think is true, instead they just listen to people like Joe Rogan, or the Red Pill People (or on the opposite end of the spectrum: feminists, woke, etc.) The older I get, the more I feel like all of these groups and people are full of shit, and much of what they believe or think is complete BS.

Every night I write out my todo list for the next day. Today I woke up to review it... #4: Learning to kill a chicken (?!?) What the hell was I on last night!?

I'm using Nostr again, you know what that means. It's slow season at work and I am bored.

I like the idea that my notes will eventually disappear off of nostr if I don't personally back them up. This is pretty close to reality. Some of the dumb stuff I have said I don't remember. Beliefs I've held I've outgrown, and would be hard pressed to recall them. (potentially, there might be some archival service out there that is just collecting notes)

I appreciate nostr so much. Every time I jump on I get a quick reminder that most people are useless and have nothing positive to contribute. Just constant doom and gloom. It's like I never left twitter. All will be well. Keep building. keep learning. Be the reason someone smiles today.
