1 BTC will equal about $2M USD if it becomes the world currency 100%.
that's based on current wealth ๐ค

here is a short version:
the lightning network is basically a series of BTC wallets. each LN Node is a wallet that holds some btc. the operator opens a node and places BTC in it.
to send Satoshi, the lightning network notes down transaction between lightning nodes, and funds available in each node, and switches funds back and forth, without actually moving any funds.
only when the lightning node operator closes the node, the btc is finally balanced out and BTC is transferred back to the wallet of his liking.
this is how there are very low fees and it is lightning fast.

so if I run a lightning node, I put some BTC in it, and then let the network use it as funds for 1000ss of lightning trades.
sounds cool ๐ ๐บ

on the lightning network, if you send me 1000 sats, and I send you back 1010, you get 10 credit, that's all.
kind of like regular banks, except that the complete system is watching and verifying the transactions, so no fraud can happen.
sounds right ๐. actually a pretty good system.
BTC is like the gold reserve, a bit of BTC in each lightning node.
lnbc100n1pjr7w5cpp56nte2z8ajqh8zp4f73g9lu022xmg9jf57qdjkyzurvdd9shj320qdqu2askcmr9wssx7e3q2dshgmmndp5scqzpgxqyz5vqsp5j9z7kcddgwecfkg9xhy42ggpdjsp4vl5v6qezmnuc9slqajl0dws9qyyssqgdvct8gh7ccldnjgwqamvkxdrj348p2lwt4jr28qcya4mvvp5yfxgv6vlr3s0gdl6uxvmtgvqf2wusx87x2jlz9m0v0hhx52834tzpqp94usc6
BTC doesn't actually move on the lightning network, Hence the very low fees.
instead of 20, 30 dollars worth in fees when trading some BTC, it is merely 20, 30 sats, if even that, sometimes it is free.
so each lightning node, aka computer, is basically one Bitcoin wallet, controlled by the lightning network and overseen by that network.
the BTC the lightning node operator puts into that 'wallet', is then available to trade back and forth, until the operator closes the node and removes the BTC, putting it back into his own wallet.
BTC doesn't actually move. only transaction records move and get balanced out by + or - transactions.

how many bitcoins is your net worth?
take your today's networth, divide by 8360, multiply by 0.0039, roughly.
that will give you a number in Bitcoin, which will represent your net worth in the future, if and when the complete world adopted BTC.
example:
50,000 / 8360 * 0.00396 = 0.02368 BTC
do you already have more Bitcoin than that in your wallet?
this is 1 cent today:
1 BTC should be worth 2 million in today's money, once if is fully adopted.
when will that be??? ๐ค
