If you use Amethyst, I highly recommend people switch from WoS to using Alby because of Amethyst Wallet Connect. 2 click zaps. (Click Lightning bolt, click which zap amount) no opening your lightning Wallet. Also you get to pick your LNURL. That's cool. Not really sure why WoS doesn't have the technology to let you do that. Doesn't seem like it would be the most impressive part of their business.

Has anyone heard of the relay https://nostr.inosta.cc ? It just popped up Maybe I clicked on something, but I don't know what. Lol. It's only 5k sats. Should I do it?

Yo. I got Alby's Nostr Wallet connect to work in Amethyst and now I don't have to open any apps to zap. Probably bad for my stack. Decades from now, this will be my pizza moment.

Having the most trouble with the Alby-Nostr wallet connect but it will be worth it! So when I click the QR code the first two are filled in. Does anyone know if the last box is just my Nostr nsec? image

I found out Nostr has hashtags, then I found out #footstr is a thing, so I made this for everyone out there that prefers feet. image

#[0] I heard Rijndael talk about passing inscriptions around on sats cards being kinda like trading cards. The obvious move would be letting people upload an image and make custom sats cards. They could have a sats card with a picture OF the inscription HOLDING the inscription. (Of course by 'holding the inscription' I mean holding private keys that allow the holder of said keys the ability... blah blah.) I guess I'd worry about the community response though.

You know what would be awesome? A prediction market built on Nostr using Lightning. Would that be possible?

I have thought even years before this rare sats (aka ordinals) craze that it would be cool to own some satoshis from the Bitcoin Pizza purchase. Then I realized there were one trillion of them. (10,000 x 100,000,000=1 T sats Jeeze.

Headed by David Marcus, ex-Paypal, ex-head of Libra, aka Diem (the defunct crypto project of Facebook), he's connected enough to be the only Bitcoin project (that I am aware of/can find) that a16z has EVER invested in. image

I made this one a while back. It's a twist on a classic Bitcoin one. image

Is there a way (yet) to 'spin up' a noncustodial Lightning node for Nostr without actually having a computer or any node equipment? I keep on hearing that this is possible, or coming soon. Would love the masses to have something to Amethyst's Wallet Connect. Once this is the case, Non-custodial Lightning on Nostr will be easier than Wallet of Satoshi (which would be HUGE.) image

Is anyone doing a thing where they are spinning up a noncustodial node, kinda like Greenlight or something similar for their Nostr zapping/recieving? Now that Amethyst has wallet connect, it would be really cool to try something like that out.

I think that all clients (to be more "normie-friendly') should do a thing where if someone accidentally posts their nsec it just posts a bunch of xxxxxxx's or something. Bitcoiners are (in general) good at private key management, but, its a good way of removing a foot-gun to help with more mainstream adoption. If they really wanna post their nsec, maybe if they throw a space in there, it won't get recognized for example: "ns ec1ae46...

Ok, TLDR, a bug was found in inscriptions-land around inscriptions 420,285 and around 1200 inscriptions did get added. Soooo, they are trying to figure out what to do to squeeze them in, changing other people's inscriptions numbers, when some people had 'significant numbers' or whatever. The humorous part is that I find these people culturally different than reading through the Bitcoin devs maiking list to see them dealing with a bug. For example: image
