Most people enjoy being lied to, especially if it reinforces their emotions.
Very few are objectively honest.

A fair reading of this video - IMO - is that the driver was intentionally blocking the road with her vehicle. Agents approach attempting to arrest her. She tries to drive off as one is grabbing her through the window. The shooter either bumps of of her left front fender as she drives forward or slips on ice (hard to tell). Fires through windshield and calmly holsters weapon and walks down road following vehicle, definitely not injured.
Impossible to tell if he felt truly under threat, although I would argue he’s not. I’ve had much more physical encounters with vehicles on my bicycle. Just because a car is near you does not mean you’re about to die. Also she’s turning away from him, not towards him.
But the real issue is how this incident is being characterized by the people leading the agencies. Noem called it a “domestic terrorist attack” and described a woman attempting to run down ICE officers who were pushing their vehicle stuck in the snow. It’s clearly not that.
Trump said the officer was violently run over and was recovering in the hospital.
Well, he looks fucking fine to me.

A Syrian immigrant heroically defused the mass shooting of a Jewish crowd. If that doesn’t give people a little bit of faith in humanity, maybe nothing will.
