Indeed there is no one to act as a central bank or federal reserve to adjust the money supply as the population of users grow. That would have required a trusted party to determine the value, because I don't know a way for software to know the real world value of things... In this sense, it's more typical of a precious metal. Instead of the supply changing to keep the value the same, the supply is predetermined and the value changes. As the number of users grows, the value per coin increases. It has the potential for a positive feedback loop; as users increase the value goes up, which could attract more users to take advantage of the increasing value. - Satoshi Nakamoto (Feb 18, 2009). πŸ”Ά πŸ‘€

It's been three weeks and counting since I listened to Steve Lukather's book, The Gospel According to Luke, and I've been listening to the entire discography of Toto, plus almost every live show on YouTube. I'm now considering pivoting and naming the podcast Discovering Toto. 🎢 πŸ‘€

Annie Besant, on Bitcoin, probably: "... for the helping of those who seek the Light β€” that "true Light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world", [ S.John, 1,9] though most have not yet opened their eyes to it. It does not bring the Light. It only says: "Behold the Light!" For thus have we heard. It appeals only to the few who hunger for more than the exoteric teachings give them. For those who are fully satisfied with the exoteric teachings, it is not intended; for why should bread be forced on those who are not hungry? For those who hunger, may it prove bread, and not a stone." πŸ”ΆπŸ‘€
