Custom software is not cheap …
LLMs/AI agents help the little guys/orgs/small and local businesses produce custom software/sites and services for less money.
Most people don’t realize that may small regional hospitals and manufacturers still mostly run off spreadsheets.
People who say current LLMs/AI agents have no value for humanity…
…see no value in giving more power to the people, which is what these tools can do.
(Always with careful privacy considerations for what info you feed others’ LLMs versus your own local LLMs or SLMs).
Lobsters need privacy too.

IMO, both the overhype and the “meh” extremes show a lack of contextual and technical understanding of how it works AND what’s going on.
(Not a criticism, it’s hard to keep up with both new and deep understanding).
Neither “take” will age well -maybe a couple weeks in this case.
It’s part of the process—an idea, a step, a view of potential, and another idea and step.
