I was relating to a co-worker about the struggle of being a software developer and the notion that no one knows (or cares) what it is I do. To many a computer is just a black box that does stuff. Then I realized this applies to many things. These days, People don't even know what their car does, it's just a horseless carriage that moves along a plane. Not that I know much more, but I do a little. Contrast that with the people that came before us. They were so much more capable than people now. Heck, even a generation ago. My uncle rebuilt an old 1950s truck. he didn't know what the hell he was doing. He figured it out though. We're lesser people now, myself included. And it just breaks my heart.

Having pity for people is a superpower. Self-pity is destructive.

Sometimes I still get surprised that Bitcoiners are not more right-wing.

I've been trying to make the extra effort of tagging posts I spend more than a glance at. I am curious how much the search by tag feature is used (on Coracle)

I think that in the Web of Trust (WoT), if you are followed or muted by highly trusted members of the network, the change in your WoT should be more significant.

I hate how much I devolve into a chimp whenever trending people follows me. The few times it has.

Learn to dress well. Historically I have not dressed well. However, I've started to make an effort recently as I've slowly transformed into father as I have aged.

Hello. I am never selling. Even if bitcoin becomes the standard. I just won't use it and be poor instead. Poordom is the only end state I will accept.

This is fun. Watch videos without the audio on and try to interpret what the video is about just from the visuals.

Got the day off because I was conscripted into doing an audit on the onsite support team. Got there and found out that we couldn't set up because of a miscommunication about time. I have to go back tomorrow, though.

Bitcoiners are like the Alpha Legion in 40k. For the unintiated this is a group of space marines who have a leader called a primarch (hard to explain, but a primarch is basically a demigod). This guy's name is Alpharius. The Alpha legion's specialty is subterfuge. To make sure no one knows who they are, any time you meet a Alpha Legion member and ask who they are they will reply with: "I am Alpharius" Satoshi Nakamoto is this demigod like figure in the Bitcoiner canon. No one knows who he is, People claim to be him all the time, etc. Anyways, what I am bascially trying to say is: I am Satoshi Nakamoto.
