@fiatjaf I remember that you didn’t like the term nostr “relay”, but we shall use “server”. I don’t get why: if nostr is infrastructure, then relays should be as dumb as a router. And some machine npubs should take on the tasks of a server. They would be complex and diverse, not the relays. I like “relay”.

I just came up with an easy answer about how to use gender neutral language: As a man I can justifiably and consistently write “he” because I represent 50% of the population. Should be fair if women just use “she”. Too simple? Is the writing distribution not 50:50?

In #Switzerland we vote on three levels: communal, cantonal, federal. On Sunday it’s - an election of the city council, city president, school council, audit committee. - a city budget matter (~5 mio $) - two federal matters (one referendum, one initiative) I’m voting by mail. We don’t have issues with this because it all lands at the commune and is counted there. The results are then handed up to the canton and then to the federal state.
