GM🔥 I noticed when I write to Nostr it feels different compared to Facebook. I don't feel like censoring myself as much. I can say what I want to say without predictable reactions. That being said I feel less inclined to post provocatively here. I don't want it to turn into a Big Tech platform. Maybe Jeff Booth is right. The current system depends on us blaming others and those up there. That way we don't have to take responsibility for our own actions that perpetuate this current system of extraction, centralization, and control. Nostr, like Bitcoin is decentralized. Outside the centralized system. Maybe that's where the hope lies. I heard Michael Saylor describe decentralizion with an analogy the other day. Attacking a decentralized system is like attacking a hornets nest with a pistol. You only end up getting hurt and the hornets nest get stronger. His idea of love was thinking together about ideas with others. Two hours later I'm at work sorting packages next to a coworker. He's 22. I'm old enough to be his dad. He tells me he's going to get a tattoo of a biblical quote on his forearm. It'll be in Hebrew. A quote from the Book of Job. He then says, "Did you know that Adam in Hebrew means 'Red Earth.'" 6:10 AM. GM. I set the ask bucket out on the deck earlier. 32 degrees. The deck is covered with light, fluffy snow. I could sweep it off. It'll be enough to make the mail trail sloppy. I am going to leave early because of it. This is unusual for me. I usually push it to the last minute writing on here, cut it off, head out the door, and drive to work above the speed limit. I put my faith in snow tires with thick tread and 4 wheel drive when needed. Not to today though. I'll breathe easy on my way to work today. I hope you have a great day. #gm #coffeechain
