Here's an idea for a short story that I'm not going to bother writing. China unleashes an army of bipedal AI robots on the American mainland but instead of killing everyone they just give everyone a hug. EVERYONE. They tear down walls, blow open vaults, and even get past security forces and break into military bases to deliver the hugs. Nobody gets hurt... but everyone has to sit and think about the fact that every single person on the continent got hugged by a robot and they couldn't stop it from happening. Pretty terrifying and silly at the same time, which is how my brain operates I guess 😂 the end
